I suspect we'll see a sharp dip, as all those people waiting to sell at 100 say fuck it, and sell at market without fees.

Then a gradual rise as trading improves.

Then again.. Who knows might be the opposite. A sharp rise would cost less. I just figure a few people would want to jump boat but there's more people trying to scoop

I don't think there will be any big effect. Seems to me like the volume currently is not driven by free trading.

It should have the net effect of stabilising te price.

Little to no effect. Most folks are not concerned about trading fees to the effect that it would significantly effect a change on their trading behavior

(lol c wut I did there? Instead of saying "affect their trading behavior" I said "effect a change on..." thereby illustrating proper usage of "effect" as a verb i.e. not just a misspelled version of "affect."  Grin)

However, I do see frequent cooldowns as being the Modus Operandi at Gox for the time being, until they re-design their trading engine.

He likely means that depositing bitcoins (to sell) incurs no fee, but depositing fiat (to buy) does.
