According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I don't recommend using more than one address that's been generated with split-key using the same public key, but in general this is quite safe. People have been using it to securely generate vanity addresses for years.

There's a link describing this in my post - repeating it here for convenience: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Split-key_vanity_address#Address_generation_outsourcing

A few other references:

If you use both, do not import them into different wallets.

Few ideas for some more typical bitcoin address :
Is it possible to have a bitcoin address with no alphabets ? If not what is the possible minimum count for alphabets like this addy 1111111111111111111114oLvT2

- address with no alphabets 1nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
- address with minimum alphabets at the end : 1nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnAa
- address with minimum alphabets at the beginning : 1aAnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
('n' can be any number).

In principal, it's possible to generate a bitcoin address that is all numeric, but the compute cost would be trillions of dollars.

An address with 17 leading digits has been done (I have 15375934619214243fGk3c5abbwcyVsBVM, for example), and I suspect making one that's at least 23 digits total (with some letters interspersed) is possible.

I am not sure what the difficulty is for the addresses with numbers mixed in, but it generally takes me under a minute to create those.
How long did it take for you to generate the address with only lowercase letters and no numbers, and what kind of specs did the AWS instance have?

You're referring to 1woukheyeacxfpxtpkxjqxureevdkbywj? I spent about a day and a half on that address with several dozen instances of various sizes.
