IMO best coin for day trade are:
Litecoin and Etherum - high volume and pretty big stability
allso using them you can use laverage in some places for trading.

1 iam prefered ethereum, monero, litecoin, and xrp
2 because high volume transaction so very fast can take profit in short time trade
3 my goal in profit altcoin trading not daily but monthly, my goal in profit 100%/month

for day trading you need a big altcoin which has a large daily trading volume that you can use in your advantage and make profit from short term dips and rises. so in short coins with large volume, doesn't matter what they are.

how ever for short term trading. i consider it to be a bit longer than just a couple of hours in one day. if we are talking about longer (a week for example) then many coins that are on the verge of a pump are good. and they are different each week.

For day trade, Litecoin and Ethereum are not fit for this since they are in the status of their resistance level. Day trades are meant for those who have at least 20-30% in their volumes in daily basis. But Im not saying they can't be considered. It's just that you will spend many hours monitoring the price for that mentioned cryptos just to make a profit doing day trade.

my answer is :

1. i don't have favorite altcoins for my daily or short time trade because i am not sure to do with one coins for daily, maybe for short i think its fair enough. i only do trade if i see there is a differences in price and i can do pingpong or something to make profit.

2. we can not depend only on one coins because there many coins that will be the best choice to trade and i don't want to missed any single opportunity to make profit.

3. actually i don't have any daily income goal but sometimes if i can see the big chance to make profit, then i will doing trading as much as i can and i think it could be more than 2 hours.

I don't believe there is anything more to daytrading altcoins than luck - and being on the "inside". For most of them the market is so small that market force dynamics is easily outweighed by coordinated manipulation. If you are on the inside then you are a "whale", capable of making market manipulating moves (or you are working as part of a team, so collectively you are a whale). Everyone else is really at the mercy of these hands, and when they decide to make their play. Time it right and buy in when they start to pump a coin and you are likely to make a win. The problem is that if you're trying to follow them, they are masters of putting out "fake signals" to make sure that those who aren't on the "inside" will carry on buying well past the point that they start dumping. And when the inevitable crash comes, very few of these outsiders will have the skill to exit their position at the right time.
From what I can see they are even experts at deliberately making people feel like they are on the inside - Twitter groups and even posts on here claiming to give out the necessary signals. Generally the info they give out will be a day or two behind what they are actually doing, so these psuedo-insiders who think they are onto a good thing end up funding the whales eventually, like everyone else..

If you want evidence at this just look at the altcoin charts. Just about every coin starts with a spike in value when it is first offered, or appears on an exchange. At this point, the whales already have their stock, so they just have to convince everyone else to start buying in. When the whales start selling, the price drops, obviously, and the adopters - those who have bought the coin on the advice of the whales, or by reading "signals" in altcoin charts - panic and start to sell, too, causing a crash. The price never recovers - as you can clearly see from watching charts, 99% of coins just see their value gradually diminish to close to zero, as they don't ever achieve any meaningful market penetration, because they don't really do anything useful in the first place. How many coins have we seen achieve any level of stability or stable growth? About 4 maybe, out of thousands? The rest only really existed as a vehicle for these whales to artificially pump and then dump them.

So, that might be very obvious to a lot of the old hands here, but I still see people asking questions which shows there are newbies coming in who aren't aware of this overbearing dynamic of the market. Have fun trading altcoins by all means but please don't consider it any more reliable a way of earning money than fruit machines or lottery cards (or provably fair online Bitcoin gambling, at least). Unless you happen to be a whale in a position to manipulate the market - in which case I don't think you would be asking questions here.

its never good to stick with only 1 coins. Diversify your portfolio and then you are safe. Even if you loose with some you get profit from others.

the volatility alone is not a good thing. a predictable volatility is what you should look for. otherwise you will be throwing darts in the dark and wishing to hit the target.
and that is the most important question that you should be asking yourself.

1) bitcoin mostly, and sometimes i do it with ETH, LTC, XMR, rarely with Dash.
2) because they are good and profitable when they are hot and not on a falling spree.
3) not really, i just look for success.

for day trading it's hard to pick one , but XMR and ETH should be the best due to their high trading volume
in general I prefer going for a longer run like for at least 2-4 weeks , and I love trading DOGE these days since the price is low
I also love trading OMC but the volume is close to zero and only yobit offers it

Last year my favorite altcoin to trade is the doge coin and clam it is good during early year but it is not that profitable as I am expecting so I am planning to switch. For now, I am still searching and studying the flow of each top 20 alt coin so I can choose the best coin in which I will do daily trade this year.

I trade dogecoins and eth mostly, I do it to have better balance on bitsler.com . But since there is an exchange now on site, I do trading alt coins  for experimenting. Dash and monero are interesting specimen.

This 1st quarter of the year I'll do more experiment and if the potential, based in my experiments , look promising, will risk 1btc to make final experiment.

i did some day trading with Monero for a while and this was a couple of months ago when the price was rising like crazy and i made a very good amount of profit from it. but since day trading needs lots of tools and a lot more time i have paused the operations for now! so i don't know which one of these coins is best for day trading today. but i have my eye on Ethereum to see if we can see another pump to the moon.

I'm still impressed with Monero and ethereum's daily analytical statistics and at the moment there can't be an Altcoins with better potential for day trading because if the market volume and stability they present. Skilled traders will never trade an Altcoin without involving any of this two.

Better focus on which has more volumes like ETH,XMR,ETC,DASH,LTC. All these coin will have a very high volume but before considering them don't stick to one coin and don't hold coin for long haul, look for marginal profits.
