I think we should all send Theymos 1 BTC so he can upgrade the datacenter. Then things will be fine.  Tongue Kiss Cool

You know what'd be way better than that?  If all the users who get the connection error would quit hammering the server with requests, pinging the fucking server to see if she's alive and duplicating the complaint threads when they finally get a connection (in the wrong section to boot).  Discussion about the board should be in Meta.

That's a bit too much for me, but sent a little bit just now. Though one bitcointalk donation address has 101 BTC.

Oh yeah, this should be in meta.

Yeah.Working great for me now.Had the similar issues a while back.Btw thanks for proving that I'm not the only one who opens 20 bitcointalk tabs on a single browser. Grin Could lead to memory leakage at times.

You guys don't run auto refreshers for all tabs, right? Tongue I am only experiencing pages open a few seconds slower than usual, which is not that big of a deal for me. I remember days where it was practically impossible to get even a single page loaded. Current situation is perfectly doable. It's probably a weak DDoS attack.

Chill out cowboy. How many concerning threads have u seen thus far? None. Mine could be the first one pertaining to the connectivity issues that need immediate resolution. The concern is valid and should be dealt with. I have been working through a series of other issues over the course of past three days, and have found out that none of my browsers was able to load btctalk images with css. What was the cause and how I fixed it is beyond the scope of this thread. The quantity of registered accounts has jumped exponentially since last year and is approaching one million. I dont know how many users are online though but Im dead sure the number is well over 50K.

Check out the stats page.. not sure if avg users per day is accurate.

I also blame Gleb Gamow.. we all know he is here right now with 75 tabs open.  Shocked  Cheesy

And when i got here in 2013 people told me back then he already got a million in donations
..not sure how accurate that is. (heard it on Cryptsy chat a bunch of times)

I usually use 2 or 3 tabs max here.

There is a lot of crawlers on here nowadays though i seen a profile one the other on the WHO list.

But yeah i have seen issues on & off over time too.
I usually chalk it up to a variety of things.. could be a DOS attack or maintenance or maybe a new load for the testing forum ? ..no idea really.

FUD first & ask questions later™

Issues have been far, far worse, navigation on bitcointalk has been smooth for months here... theymos seems to be doing his best in keeping the forum alive.

683,977 accounts (73%) have never made a single post.

The question is... why?

I've never had this problem, I actually like the idea more people come here as it boosts the entire economy. Sad to see that error coming up...

I don't think that error is a long term problem once you posted it so try pushing it to moderation so it can be looked through. I love the visual by the way, gave me a better idea of what happened.

I know the staff battle spam on a daily basis.  Banning a user for spam would remove their spam post, leaving them with 0 posts, and inability to make new posts.  The account itself is not deleted.

Bad things happen when accounts are deleted. Thats part of the reason why we don't delete accounts here. I've never seen it done so I can't really say what specifically, but when I say bad things, I mean it damages/disrupts the forums. I read additional details years ago, but I don't remember where.

I'd love to see how many individual people have accounts here. I guess that's impossible though, so many alts, people usinf TOR, running proxy's etc changing their ip's & locations.

@OP

You should always use a cut function to hide areas.

Using MS Paint to blur over the area is meaningless.

I cut out the part that displayed C:\\Users\M*******WL\Desktop>

Replace the image in your OP with the one below so no one can see it by simply removing the top layer or playing with curves.
