1) Monero is going to be bigger than it is now. Not just because of its "anonymous" feature, but also because of its inflation, which is already lower than Litecoin and eventually will be lower than Bitcoins...
Eventually Monero will be blocked from being used anywhere but underground, it will be degraded to payment method for darknet marketplaces. There is no way of global adoption, this is the aim of every cryptocurrency - if you are fine with Monero being niche coin it is ok. Just don't expect it to get bigger without being suppressed by authorities first. Every currency suppose to investigated by financial authority to prevent any black market or money laundering activities. Even bitcoin now has been questioned by government about whose used it in order avoid taxes. Monero had grown more than 2000% last year and keep increasing, but wait until it facing many problems as bitcoin did. But, we can expect that an alternative altcoin will overcome obstacles and pass through government regulations, just so hard to determine which one of many options.

Instead of spending time to identify which altcoin will show next pump, I prefer to stay within bitcoin to maximize my chances to become rich in quicker times. Because I just want to secure my current wealth against losing them. One altcoin's life is usually till another altcoin will be introduced. After 2013, we have seen these many times. Altcoins will come and go, they are just applications. But bitcoin will stay with us all the times because it is a money.

Just as expected they will surely mentioned their favorite alts which we all know there are lots of it to mention and we dont know which one would really pump in the long run. Getting rich on altcoin pump would be possible but still you will need to risk big money in able to achieve that goal.

The only ones getting rich from alts pump are the own exchanges manipulating the price all the time and playing with the peoples money. What a sad ending for bitcoin... "lets make a descentralized payment method" and them it become centralized in the exchanges.

Experienced this somehow when I tried making a profit from trading a little amount of money (just for testing and to learn) of course i always make a cute loss @OP, it is a true statement but I don't feel that there is an alt which deserves to be rided

May I ask which failed altcoins you owned previously? Maybe I could tell you what you did wrong. Some altcoins are so useless so you can tell after reading their announcement that they will fail miserably. Some have great concept, design and goals - but when you research deeper you will know that developers won't be able to keep their word.

Just in case is familiar with ICN, asking about this again:
1) Do you need to hold the tokens on their platform-website (as safe as holding coins in exchanges...) or you can store them locally in some sort of wallet and still get dividends?
2) Are dividends paid in ICN or any other token?
3) How much ICN dividends do you get depending on your holdings? how do I calculate this?
Most ICN holders are pump and dumpers that don't even know how it works, they just buy the token and sell it at a profit, they don't know if what they get themselves into is legit or not, that's 99% of altcoin buyers.

Did you saw anything great in Pascalcoin? recently, this coin went from 0.0006 to 0.0013. It was listed for months on that cryptopia exchange and nobody gave a fuck, then it got in poloniex, spent a time doing nothing for a while, eventually pumped hard all of a sudden. This proves two things: 1) You can still make great gains with alts 2) It requires luck (you holding some random coin that eventually pumps) I just dont see anything great about Pascalcoin

The best way to get rich is to buy and hold bitcoin. Most altcoins are so unreliable that if you buy them now and forget about it for 2 years you won't make any profits. Altcoiuns are good only if you observe the market daily and are ready to dump if something happens.

The crypto gold rush is over past 2015, IMO. Nothing bad with waiting and scanning every now and then for the 'next big thing,' but the best way is to work your ass off till you get your goals.

Well you want to be a big fish in an extremely polluted, shallow pool of donkey piss, that has moldy lillypads growing on the surface, along with the floating, decomposing fish that have long since died. That's the altcoin scene in a nutshell.
If you were smart, you'd either 1) Stay in bitcoin, or 2) Get into the stock market, where there is still mad money to be made. Screw all these shitcoins. They are for suckers.

Or be the one behind the altcoin. Of you really want to earn big money then try to create altcoin - you don't need much, just big mouth and some satoshi for promotion. You need someone to write you a white paper (if you can't do it yourself), bullshittalk through how great your altcoin will be and collect money from the ICO. Then you will just need to maintain some semblance of developing process and count earned money under the table.

that is the problem with altcoins that OP forgets. when you invest in bitcoin, you can be sure with a good certainty that it will be successful and you will make some profit eventually. but if you invest in altcoins the certainty level is too low, and there is always a high risk of losing a big part of your investment. and making a small profit is better than nothing or losing.

I was always thinking about this way to increase my bitcoin stash, and again another pump happened with pascalcoin, you see there are at least one strong pump each year in the altcoin world
if you can catch it you will do not less than 10x of your ivnestment, but it's not as easy as it seems, the real deal is mining them when no one care about and dump when they get pumped on the exchange
there were many where this was possible, and this is also a lot less risky than investing your bitcoin

Vidz, that's the next 100X that right now if flying under the radar but soon it will be on everyone's radar.
i invested few to Vidz but i think there will be some problems once it gets popular somehow. and the thing that happens to the rest of the torrent sites may also happen to it. not to fud but i'm cautious about it this time. i'm keeping my vidz but i'm also getting ready when something happen. Its smart to be cautious when investing but I think even if the get big they'll be able to stay up like most other sites. Im even thinking about buying more before the price starts jumping again.

I guess it's better to not expect getting reach from just holding some crypto, I expect to make a good profit but not over a million USD, I dont know if an alt pump like the one bitcoin had is even possible, nothing happens the same way twice.

I think those that have no anonymous feature. AS what Sundark said, anything that the government failed to regulate will automatically shutdown or blocked within that country's jurisdiction. Why does bitcoin stands because bitcoin does not have that anonymity feature. Transactions can be track. Even FBI stated that they can easily track coins that pass thru mixer. They said mixer just have an exaggerated claim and that they are not what they claim they are.
