Towards the ending of last year a prediction was outrageously made by Saxo Bank which says the price of bitcoin will sky rocket to $2100 which we did experience some huge increase in the price of bitcoin acouple of days after the prediction was made. Soon we had a situation in China which make some people loose their trust in future of bitcoin cos they think a government of any country could do something worst in the future. But with the huge trust in bitcoin we had from people of Japan,Africa,America etc we had some sort of increase in price this days.

I would have to say for it to skyrocket is has to break through the 1000 barrier again and stay above it. That's really the only way I can see it being able to sky-rocket.

Though, if bitcoin wants mass adoption by the people it's going to have to stabilize at some price or no one is going to want to put their money in if they don't want insane losses (or gains!)

Well, well cant tell what will happen next. Bitcoin is so volatile or unpredictable. The price will skyrocket or will fall. Yeah, maybe we could reach $2100 but i think it will take a long time to happen. Exchange now in China is being regulated right now. That will slower the progress of bitcoin price.

Yes, it can happen, bitcoin can skyrocket to $2000 or more, as it can falls to $500, everything is possible here, the speculation is high and that is what makes the high profit chance here for now. BTC needs to work before skyrocketing. My last transaction took 26 hours to confirm, and there are more than 50,000 unconfirmed transactions in the cooking. BTC can only go down till those problems are fixed.

the price can move.
but bitcoin (mainnet) utility has to stop being halted by those wanting large fee's to pressure offchained permissioned contracts. as thats erroding bitcoins ethos.

if people are locking funds into LN contracts with:
CLTV(after confirmation maturity (analogy: 3-5 business day funds unavailable))
CSV(after confirmation revocation (analogy: chargebacks))

people will not see the benefit of bitcoin because it ends up doing what banks do.

I think it is possible that the price of bitcoin will became $1000 as you predict. As you can see the price graph right now the bitcoin price is alternating, sometimes up and sometimes down. And I think it is happen only upto one to two years. And I don't how it is happen why it is increasing.

Yes it can skyrocket again back to $1,000 let's just wait for it. Don't rush because it is possible that bitcoin can reach again that price and even higher. But I don't think it can reach $2,100 this year but maybe $1,500. But for sure bitcoin can make it again as long there is no breached that is going to happen again because that can make the price fall again.

if I remember and we are talking about the same prediction, they said Bitcoin price COULD reach $2000 given the right economic conjecture, for example, Russia unbaning Bitcoin and countries adopting Bitcoin to counter the US dollar and so on.

I doubt any of their ifs will happen today, but we may see $2000, of course for other reasons

Skyrocket is possible but the time when will BTC price skyrocket no one can predicted the time, most of when the BTC skyrocket is based on BTC whale, people who have BTC in tiny amount only can wait and take the advantage, and i think this is based on Chinese market, remember on Dec 2016 when BTC skyrocket Chinese market who make it and dump the price again.

I’m not sure that if the price reached that level I would say it skyrocket, don't get me wrong I will be very happy but bitcoin doubling its price is not what I consider skyrocketing, probably it will need to reach something between 5x to 10x before I consider it has skyrocket.
