Hello, My Filipino Friends!

I have some questions, I went there in your country last august 2016 and you people love to go the mall.

Do you think if I set-up a btc atm in sm manila city hall many people would use it?

Can foreigners get a business permit in your country?

Also, is electricity cheap in your country?

Do you have any suggestions for me?

Also what type of business (bitcoin related) do you think Filipinos would love to see?

Hoping to get a lot of response from you guys!

You can't just simply set up bitcoin atm here in our country first thing is bitcoin mining has anoying sound it's too noisy second thing is if you really want to why don't you try to set up on farm? And get a solar panel because electricity is not cheap i think you read a wrong information about our country. Well good luck mate.

oh thanks for the info. might get a business permit and set-up a two-way atm. and since electricity is expensive there, I might cross out your country from the list where I want to farm bitcoin. lol. anyway, thanks!

I don't plant to build a mining farm in the city. and I know you can't just simple set up an atm that's why I asked if foreigners can get a business permit. I also asked if the electricity is cheap. And no no no, I think i''m not wrong. The way you responded to me seems like you're trying to be cool like President Duterte. Well I have nothing against him. I praise all his works. He's a great guy. But please don't imitate him. Doesn't fit you. Good luck mate!

That might be a good idea since there is only one atm machine in the Philippines located in Makati. But, a flaw in your plan is the place itself, the Philippines. It consist of islands so the coverage of the service of your atm will be limited to the nearby areas in SM Manila and it would take a lot $$$ to target all bitcoin enthusiasts all over the country.

On top of that, your target place is a good start up and I'm not against on your plan, actually I like it. People will be fond to see bitcoin to pesos conversion using ATM's. Good luck!!

You can set up a business here but Philippine laws are strict with regard to foreign investors and you might have problems with it if you are going to go though legal channels. I believe there is a requirement that you will need to have 60% Filipino owned and only 40% foreign owned if you're building a corporation There is a way you can bypass some requirements which a lot of foreign entities are doing anyway. Also, regards setting up in malls, I don't think you'll really profit out of it yet. Since bitcoins is really still unknown in the Philippines, and since electricity is expensive maybe your profit from the ATM will just be eaten up by it and the rent you'll pay to SM or any other mall.

If you are planning to build an atm here in PH then you are not the first. There is already one atm located somewhere in manila also. I think if you want to make a business here it will be more accessible for everyone if it is an online business unlike a physical store where only people around the area can avail your service. .I found a link about the news about that atm. https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/philippines-first-two-way-bitcoin-atm-opens-heart-manilas-financial-district/

I think thats a bad idea my friend. First of all bitcoin is not that popular here in the Philippines. Only few people knows bitcoin. Maybe you can build bitcoin atm at casinos or create an exchange site. I know one bitcoin atm here. I just dont know if its still operating.

Yeah, though if you put it on a real casino I don't think anyone will still buy from it. As in real casinos they use fiat. So maybe you can create a real casino where there are computers inside where you can gamble in online casinos accepting bitcoins. Since we have a lot of those here too. Maybe you can compete with those.

It is not yet advisable to undergo business here in Philippines using bitcoin as payment. It is not as popular compare to other countries.
So, I were you I will take time, or go visit here for you to see the flow. Maybe after a year, you can push your business. Anyway, we already do have 2 bitcoin ATM here.

Let him try. Always good to have more, and then you can state that you were one of the first, or early adopters.

Hi Hope you enjoy your stay here in Philippines!

Anyways, SM Manila City Hall is a great one to have bitcoin ATM I think a lot of users here are from Manila, so it is a good thing.
Business Permits?  I think no if it is under your name, I know that you need a Filipino resident to apply for you.
Electricity? I can't say that it is cheap but compare to your country I think we are cheaper than you.

My suggestion to you is find Filipino whom you can trust to and to visit Philippines again for you to see.

Yes. It could be a good business investment for you. A lot of people or citizens of Philippines uses bitcoins now. From now on, bitcoins will be going to be popular to Philippines. I think it is one of the best investment for now in the Philippines. It would also better to have partnership for your investment here in the Philippines.

No, the public is not aware of bitcoins
Yes, foreigners can get permits under certain conditions
I would suggest you go for esports cafe. Filipinos are crazy for that. Good luck with your business.

1. majority of people here in the Philippines dont know about bitcoin even if they encounter the word Bitcoin its hard to find out if hes willing to explore
2. I think you have to be a filipino citizen before you get a business permit or else you have to find a business partner who is a Filipino because of the law 50/50 ownership(correct me if I'm wrong)
3. Electricity is not cheap here
4. Start with online services first like coins.ph, rebbit.ph to cater digitals goods for filipinos I dont think bitcoin ATM would be a good start. But its just my only opinion.
5. In my opinion I would like to have a webhosting company who would cater bitcoin payment that can compete with small companies because of their quality service. If I can buy smartphone/PC components/Gadgets using my bitcoin I will gladly spread the information with my personal facebook.
