I am asked to sign a message.I do not know how to do?Can someone tell or share an example?
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Hey, check this thread out - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0 that is where Shorena gave a step by step procedure on how to sign a message. If you are lazy reading, there are pictures in there, just follow it...

Care to share why you have to sign a message? It's unbelievable that at your rank you still don't know how to sign a message..  Smiley Anyway, good luck...  Wink

Please lock this thread if the thread that I am pointing already answer your question...

if your holding funds in an exchange instead of a wallet. you cant sign a transaction because you dont own the private key to sign it.

if you do have access to the private key then shorena has done a guide for whichever wallet you are using

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

You can use electrum for desktop wallet its easy sign there, and mycelium if you have android or any smartphones, just I don't know where to sign in web wallets. You can try it IF you have the and can access your private keys of that wallet you want to sign, then just export it and import it through the software I mentioned above but if you don't have it, then its impossible.
