Hello everyone, first I would like to say thank you for spending your time helping me. I am slightly uneducated at building computers/servers. I was wondering if someone could build me the following multipurpose build.

I would be needing the following specs:

- Able to run 24/7
- Mother board with 8 ram slots and 3 gpu slots
- CPU with score higher than 9,000 http://cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html
- 64GB of RAM (8 * 8 or whatever is cheapest)
- 3 * 7970s with the crossfire setup so it is like 1 GPU or something ( I want to use these for BTC mining ).
- 2 * 256GB SSD or 1 * 512GB SSD (Whatever is cheaper)
- Windows 7
- Easy to use case
- More than enough power supply ( I don't want to fry parts ).
- Advanced cooling system that is easy to install (this thing will be running at heavy load all the time and I want NO chance of overheating.

Accessories (Wanted but not needed):

1) Cool lighting system (blue)
2) Liquid cooling (only if it is easy to setup in the case)
3) Cool case ( must be easy to use )
4) Even more advanced full cooling system.

I still don't get it... if you want to mine on that box... whatever else you are going to try and do... is just going to fail, lag, get delayed and stutter... the only thing that might function, without decreasing hashrate, is a simple webserver... not something you need an high end CPU and 64 gb of ram for...

I wouldn't mind creating this setup... but I just don't see the function of it... if you want to bitcoin, you either dedicate a miner to it... or you gonna get crap in BTC.

Also if this is the amount of effort you put into it, (would love to know what you mean with the something...) I don't think you'll be able to get a miner setup properly, I suggest you buy an ASIC. (try not to get scammed, currently the only known party who is shipping is Avalon)

2) Liquid cooling is by definition for enthousiasts, if you're not willing to put in the effort stay away from it.
3) Even a case designed to give a lot of airflow, you can still screw up by putting in the fan backwards... Good cooling cases are usually by default not so easy to use, as you can put fans all over the place. (and getting them all connected is a challenge most of the time)

Looks like you really want to go for an off the shelf system, and not put something together yourself.

Running stuff that doesn't use the GPU shouldn't effect my hash rate?

I just plan on using this for my personaly use/gaming and mine in the background and when im not playing have it mine still

you know its gonna take you two years at best to make ROI right?

And if that is your use, you should just setup a gaming-rig with 3 ATI cards, and make sure to add extra fans. (look for good airflow cases while building your gaming rig)

Only if you wanna do bitcoining, I wouldn't recommend xfx cards.

Of course, this system is overkill, by far, for mining.

It's also overkill for gaming, unless you have three 1440p monitors that you want to game on simultaneously.

And 64 GB of memory is overkill unless you are doing things like image process, rendering, etc.

The 64 GB memory requirement pretty much limits the system to LGA2011.

I agree that the case may not be ideal for cooling with air. It's really meant for watercooled systems.

A Rosewill Thor V2 is cheaper and probably better if the OP doesn't want to add waterblocks onto each of the video cards and install a radiator, etc.

There are also risks with watercooling, the chance of leaking is not 0%. Such an occurrence would destroy your precious system (might be able to recover some data from HDD). A good type of cooling would be open air cooling (no case), although you'd have to clean the dust routinely.

I am going to be using an enclosed water cooling system so there is no tubes or gaskets by me so should be pretty much no chance of leaking

Why not get a cheap board for mining and make the server separate. It wont really add to the cost since the 2 uses you have go in opposite directions.
