In my research I was surprised to find an information pertaining to an online mall that is accepting bitcoins. According to the site this online mall is a potential rival to amazon and ebay. But sad to say that  the Online Square Mall Market is not very well known to bitcoin users amidst its existence since 2014. I am not sure if this site is still alive today since I also want to purchase smartphones on this site.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Not sure if you are trying to boost your status, but this link is from APR 1, 2014 7:03 AM PT

I am not sure if this site is still alive today since I also want to purchase smartphones on this site.

Why the dedication to this site in particular? You can use many other websites to buy a "smartphone" using Bitcoin. Even amazon could be used with purse.io

I think op is trying to increase the web traffic to the particular website, because it has been created long back but haven't got more popularity and suddenly making focus towards it seems something out of legitimacy act.

I never tried over stock before and enver heard that they are accepting bitcoin as payment but you can look at their faq https://help.overstock.com/app/answers/list/c/4/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xNDg1NDQ4NjczL3NpZC9HdW9WQ0Y5bg%3D%3D
And i think they are also accepting bitcoin as payment. .

OpenBazaar is soon going to kill all competition, even Malls like this will not match their market. The article is very old, and merchants stop accepting

bitcoins, if people do not use it to buy things at their shops. We saw what happened with Fiverr lately, and my guess is this is what lead to their

decision not to accept Bitcoin any more. Everyone should always have 20% of their coins in circulation to keep this from happening.  Grin

Do you have any specific theory as to why you think OpenBazaar will kill all competition?
Don't get me wrong, I'd love for that to happen, but I think the chances of that happening in the next few years are pretty slim.

Do they have enough funding for marketing purposes? Is their store/app easier to use than, say, Ebay or Amazon?
I think the answer to both these questions is: no

It sounds good, but I don't know if it will last too long. For Amazon and Ebay to become a big thing it took a lot of time and they were the first out there that had international deliveries or from companies that want to sell only there or so. They will probably be the best ones for a long time. But as far as I know you can pay with BTC on Amazon too.

The article you had shared was almost 3 years ago, we don't have an idea if what exactly the site is. It would be better if you include the official website you are referring so we will know if it does really exist or still existing now. Well, there's a lot of online shop now that accept bitcoin as payments but it is risky cause we don't know if it well trusted. Before buying, we should look first the reviews and other information to prove it is reliable.

The only online giant that can rival Amazon and eBay is Alibaba.
Most of the Amazon and eBay sellers buy stuff form Alibaba to resell.
If Alibaba decides to cut the "middle man" traders ,they could kill the online retail giants.
If Alibaba accepts bitcoin,it would be just perfect.

Open Bazaar will have their own set of problems. One big problem is only a few are using it. They also have more than 3 million dollars in VC funding, how do you think are they going to monetize a decentralized network? How are the VCs going to make money out of their investment in Open Bazaar?

in my opinion a rival of Amazon and ebay that is also using bitcoin needs to be decentralized just like bitcoin itself is. something like OpenBazaar is the obvious choice and if anything is about to take off and take the place of these two i say it is OpenBazaar. although it needs a bit more developement and a more user friendly start.

I have heard also about purse.io but as part of my research I am looking at many areas including the past or present. It is important to know if bitcoin as a mode of payment is really feasible since many sites who accepts bitcoin are no longer accepting bitcoin and that is why I relive this 2014 post to check and ask the community if it is still running and continue to accept bitcoin. But thanks to this info I will try out purse.io to purchase smartphone.

Shopping on Amazon using bitcoins can be done through a third-party site Purse.io, for payment in bitcoins will receive a discount of 5% and more, the site is not entirely correct, not all items are synchronized with Amazon.

Thankyou guys for telling that amazon items can be purchased through purse.io. I havent heard of this site purse.io. How is this site?
Is this genuine? Those who have used can you please write the feedback about this site?I have one question. Is this site can be used for shopping from amazon.in ? I am not telling about amazon.com. Alibaba is a good site. I have seen a lot of cheap bitcoin miners in this site.
Have anyone tried this site? Just want to know if this site alibaba accepts payments in bitcoin. If so I will definitely buy a bitcoin miner from this site.If anyone knows please write a feedback.
