Hi, I just saw this picture pass by on Twitter. Can anyone confirm whether Amazon is now accepting Bitcoins?

Edit: I just heard that it's invite only still.

Well, the short answer is that they've finally seen the competitive light - and are trying to do an end run around Google Bucks and Facebook Funnymoney and all the other centralized bullshit currencies that are trying to capture market share and distract from bitcoin.

The long answer is no, I don't buy it for a minute.

Fake. And it's rather easy to check...

ADDED:
Mastercard as payment method? Since when did they accept BTC as currency? Grin
Rather poor and quick work.

Photoshop, or maybe GIMP (they do accept bitcoin donations, btw).

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

Yes.  The font by the radio buttons seems a bit light.

That is why they announced Amazon coins a few days ago....  Amazon is part of the establishment, remember.

Hopefully bitcoinstore.com will do another half million in April/May and then the dominoes start to fall. Maybe once Tiger Direct or another electronics retailer sees the light it will force Amazon's hand.

You can buy things on Amazon with bitcoins through bitspend.net

I seriously do not have any affiliation with that site but hardly anyone knows about them and they provide the groundbreaking service of allowing you to buy anything on the Internet with Bitcoin.

This trumps all of the huge announced websites accepting bitcoin in my eyes.

First seastead company actually selling sea homes: Ocean Builders https://ocean.builders  Of course we accept bitcoin.

They likely saved the webpage and edited BTC in.  Or edited it on the spot.

I think you meant to post this 4/1/2013 Smiley Doesn't look like the market jumped up there for ya...

Hardforks aren't that hard. It’s getting others to use them that's hard.
