There is no twitter announcement or anything about them and still my money is hold hostage.

Just pm yobit bitcoin talk account for directly or try to write your problem in their thread and mostly the person's problem are get fixing by them.
but it will take more time to do that.
Their respond is very bad if you try to report your problem through the support ticket.
