bitpic Prototypes

AUCTION:
This is an auction for bitpic prototypes.  The prototypes are just that, prototypes.  As such, the images are promo shots, the border is partially cutoff, the private keys are engraved on the back leaving the front hologram there for show, the public addresses are unique to the prototypes, and they have been handled more than a final product.  Each prototype is printed on an 8x10 aluminum sheet, signed in gold pen, engraved with a Bitcoin private key matching the public key QR code on the front, loaded with 0.01 BTC, and labeled as a prototype.

Bidders Outside US Must Pay 0.01 BTC in Shipping Charges

I was testing methods of securing the picture while engraving.  That led to multiple engravings.  Rather than leaving private keys exposed, I decided to cover them, so that the bitpic is functional.

I've registered bitpic.org to host a "bitpic analyzer" and I believe this will have multiple advantages over linking directly to the blockchain.info page, as was done on these prototypes.

A guy recently offer me to sell one of this prototype and he point me out on this thread for details reference. We both don't know the current fair value so I want to know what is the fair market price of this stuff? And how can I check if this is still loaded?

I will delete this post if this can be considered as NECRO bumping?

You should be able to get a BTC address by scanning the QR code. Then checking a block explorer would show if it was loaded or not. I would also make sure the holograms are in tact per the pictures. No idea the current value, but the loaded value alone should be over $500 now. I believe these were pre-fork coins as well.

So this is a really weird coincidence. Was having a clear out the other day and found my bitpic prototype! (along with some other old collectibles i forgot i had!). Browsing these forums for the first time in a while this evening and thought I'd check out the collectibles section for the first time in years, and just by coincidence on the first page i see this thread has just been brought back from the dead lol.

Must be some kinds of sign. I would be interested in selling mine... might as well put it in the hands of someone who would enjoy it.

I love the one I kept for myself. They look great in frames and I don’t currently plan on making any more. I’m sure someone would be willing to buy one if it’s still loaded.
