Dev, how is this project coming along? Are we starting fresh with a new blockchain at block # 1 ? I found this GitHub, but no updates since Feb 2015: https://github.com/JackpotCoin2015/JackpotCoinI've been running the wallet for a couple of days on IP: 52.55.95.161 with no connections.
Can someone post a config file with some valid nodes in it?
I fired up a node at 138.197.159.60, try adding it to your peer list and lets see if we can sync. |

I wasn't allowed to relaunch it according to the original developer. The dev wanted a coin swap.
If you guys are interested someone needs to fork the current one and give it a completely different name. I no longer have the time as I took on a different dev project.

I see in the debug log where my Jackpotcoin Ver1.5 tries to connect to your node at 138.197.159.60 However the log says that the connection was rejected. Just fyi, the port for Jackpotcoin is 15371 |

Of course old coins must be swapped to the new one. Or it's not relaunch. Nope he means theres no point in making the new blockchain under the same name and using the old logo. Its equal to creating a new coin from scratch, and enables those that posses the old one to swap to a new revision but its irrelevant now nobody wants it. That takes 20 minutes but is pointless who cares about someones old coins sitting in an old wallet on a dead truncated and stalled chain. |

IMO simply clone the coin with fair parameters (no premine, good diff adjustment), no need to watch out for any bagholder's (dev included) feelings.
Most of this coins success would of been the name however. If you clone it you have to call it something completely different. Many of the old timers still remember the JackpotCoin name. Would we be able to have access to the genesis block and everything if we were to take over and relaunch? Should I PM the old dev's username here? |
