My friend introduced me to btc and I got a little bit of it to bet on some csgo matches. It was fun, but now I want to build my first gaming pc so I was looking for ways to sell my bitcoin.

However, sadly most sites required me to be either above 18 or wanted official government identification which I don't have.

So I was wondering, if you can buy something like amazon gift codes with bitcoin? I have enough for a nice quality power supply and it would be fun to spend it on amazon.
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Through purse.io, you can buy stuff from amazon, and you even get a discount. I believe you can buy electronics at newegg using btcoin.

I haven't used any of the sites yet but as stated by odolvlobo, you can try purse.io to buy things using bitcoin from amazon. Alternatively, you can also trade your bitcoin with amazon gift cards (see marketplace section of this forum to see or raise a request). Make sure that the site or person with whom you are dealing is trusted one.

If you could able to wait patiently and willing to charge shipment fees then purse.io would be the best choice but if you dont like on these method or way then the best thing is to have a bitcoin debit card,it wont really need for you to send documents for identity since you could able to use it directly. There are lots of cards to choose from but i would like to suggest cryptopay. On this way you could able to load your card directly with bitcoin and withdraw them instantly.

Really bitcoin is to facilitate exchange of goods and services. It can be used in purchasing goods online and  other services. Sometime it may be need in keeping it waiting for it's rising.

No Purse.io is not only for US citizen. I used it many times and i really like the site. I don't think there is any restriction regarding the countries not accepted there. The site is easy to use, and good point you can get a nice discount for your amazon items :p
I sold and bought both and never had a problem with this site. They had a good idea to create a platform like this. There are others sites as well, just don't remember the name, but they can surely be found in google. Another site you can take a look is Paxfull, i have never used it but you can buy and sell bitcoin similar to localbictoin

Why not try to contact someone that you can ask and use their identity in replacement of yours? There's always a good way for this type of problems and you can even ask your parents and use their identification for it. May I know if you did already tried those that I've mentioned? Because those sites won't even know that you are in that identification.

Just ask a family member {legal guardian} or a adult to help you out with this one. They will understand your predicament once you

explained it to them. You can also check this forum for people selling gyft cards {careful, there are a lot of scammers, so use escrow}

I have several friends, registered at exchanges that would help me, if I needed to shift some bitcoins to Fiat. {for a fee}  Roll Eyes

Look for stores that accept Bitcoin payments. If you are interested in tech stuff, there should be many options for you that you can find. I am looking forward to some new shops around me that accept BTC too. Smiley

Purse.io allows for you to buy things via amazon iirc, so that might be worth looking into and seeing if that suits your needs.

As for other things you can do, there are definitely some other places that are pretty good for different things you might want to buy, one that might interest you is Bitgold; that can set up a debit card and everything and I don't believe they need ID up to a point.

if sites like purse.io and gyft didn't meet your needs then you can always go to localbitcoins as others suggested to sell bitcoin and receive cash but there is a risk when meeting face to face.

also you can always go to Goods board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0) (there is also digital and hardware sub-boards) start a [WTB] topic and see if there is anyone around you that is willing to sell you what you need in exchange for bitcoin 100% P2P

If you want to exchange your coins to fiat and can't do that online you can try to find some trader who is willing to do face to face exchange. Or just ask good friend or family member to help you and do it for you. The other option is to buy things that you need on websites that accept Bitcoins.

If you want to build your pc gamer you need to cashout your money somehow. Ask to your parents, a more than 18 years old friend to receive the money on his account and give to you. Another methods could be harder, more difficulty for you.
Bitcoin is anonymous on the internet, so you can send it to any bank account you want, just be sure you choosed a trusted person to do it.

It is a possibility. There is also the possibility of buying games with it, since last year the Steam Gaming Platform has been allowing users to buy games using Bitcoin. I think it's also worth checking if there are websites offering discounts to people using it.

From what I read, you are a very young boy with enough talent to gain a good amount of bitcoin in a very short time, which many older people have not been able to do. So I would invite you to delve deeper  into this interesting ecosystem to learn how to manage your economy and projects solely and exclusively based on bitcoins. That is perfectly possible these days, therefore I do not see the need for you to exchange your bitcoins for fiat money.

You can buy something that people here wants and available to buy with bitcoins, and then offer it here in the auctions forum for USD.
That way you'll convert your bitcoins to dollars.
Or maybe you can do a revert auction: declare what you want to buy and ask for price suggestions.

You can always sell your bitcoin to any reputed seller here on forum also and you don't need to produce your identification documents but you would need bank account or any other way to get paid. You can also ask the buyer to buy anything for you that you want to buy but couldn't because you cant buy it with bitcoin.
Do not forget to use escrow for any deal here.

I see two optional ways to spend your bitcoins, one of them is to get a virtual bitcoin debit card (which can be obtained for free) and load it with bitcoin and exchange them to fiat where you can use this to purchase online and buy your gaming PC stuff, the second way is to create a thread here and ask if anyone is selling that stuff for bitcoin.

when posts are telling the guy he can hand it to users in this forum..

.. it should dawn on people..

.. either most people dont know of many real merchants that accept bitcoin, or they themselves have not thought about bitcoin beyond this forum.
which goes to show bitcoin is not ready to go mainstream

bitcoin really needs to be at a point where people dont need to ask "where can i spend it" or have issues with conversion

Honestly speaking, selling or buying bitcoin here is the last place i would think about. There are lot of other ways to sell it. Depending on how you want your money: bank transfer, debt card, Paypal, Gift cards, there are a lot of choices Nowaday you just need a few clicks to get the money in your bank account in 24-48 h... Why waste time deal with unknow people, check his profile, escrow, bla bla bla... It's not difficult as well to use with any merchant, just get a bitcoin debt card and use it, rare are the shop not accepting Visa/Mastercard

when posts are telling the guy he can hand it to users in this forum..

.. it should dawn on people..

.. either most people dont know of many real merchants that accept bitcoin, or they themselves have not thought about bitcoin beyond this forum.
which goes to show bitcoin is not ready to go mainstream

bitcoin really needs to be at a point where people dont need to ask "where can i spend it" or have issues with conversion
Indeed.  But this guy sounds like a complete newbie to bitcoin and he only has it incidentally.  I'd suggest trying to exchange it on this forum with a trusted member who does PayPal and those sort of exchanges.  There's always a risk of chargeback, but it can be done.

But you can buy gaming equipment somehow with bitcoin, can't you?  Even from Korea??

Honestly speaking, selling or buying bitcoin here is the last place i would think about. There are lot of other ways to sell it. Depending on how you want your money: bank transfer, debt card, Paypal, Gift cards, there are a lot of choices Nowaday you just need a few clicks to get the money in your bank account in 24-48 h... Why waste time deal with unknow people, check his profile, escrow, bla bla bla... It's not difficult as well to use with any merchant, just get a bitcoin debt card and use it, rare are the shop not accepting Visa/Mastercard

im just saying bitcoin needs PEOPLE to push their local merchants for bitcoin acceptance
im just saying PEOPLE need to be more informed about what is available in their local area.
im just saying PEOPLE need to not require this forum as the central point. but instead know where locally they can get the information, tools, services and help they need.

bitcoin needs to expand its diversity in information, utility and accessability.

if peoples only answers are to go to this forum or use a debit card. then bitcoin is not really reaching its full potential, its instead locking its potential down into something that can turn out to be as useful as facebook credits. (not good).

everyone should be pushing to get bitcoin more open and more diverse

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

You can actually buy services and goods with your Bitcoin, and you can get up to a 30% price decrease if you use services like Purse to purchase goods on Amazon. There are actually many things that can be bought with BTC these days.

On another note, to increase the amount of Bitcoin you have access to, you can trade things or services for Bitcoin. That's how I made my first stash. I have a background in Mac and Web development and developed Mac wallet versions that are compatible with older and newer Mac OS X systems for various altcoins.

Why dont you just keep your bitcoins and even try to earn some more, rhe price of btc will just rise a few fold in 2-3 years.

As he said in the first post - he wants to buy a gaming pc and he has some btc amount which he wants to spend right now.. waiting 2-3 years isn't the best solution of his problem.  Wink Cheesy
You are right he need right now some bucks for his gaming pc he can use identification from his family members for buying from any reputable sites as few members already suggest in above posts without any problem

This guy doesn't have many options. He said he doesn't even have an ID card, so I suppose he also doesn't have a bank accound or debit card, which means he doesn't have PayPal account, so changing bitcoins to PayPal from the people on this forum isn't the solution.
And as franky1 said, generaly changing bitcoin to fiat isn't any solution at all.

@ to the OP
If you want to buy some electronics online, you can try those sites:
http://koreanbuddy.com/category/gmarket-korea/
https://www.newegg.com/

Both of them should send to Korea. Wink

I think there is no problem, you can transfer your bitcoin to anyone you trust that have a credit card which he can withdraw your money with ATM and sends you money.
By the way, you can find some service here in this section of BT forums: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0
Which you can find some offers of amazon gift codes with bitcoin. or simply you can create a topic.
Good luck.

Where are your from Op? We can't give you any real advice if we have no idea where are you from, there are big internet shops located in the US like Overstock, Newegg, Dell and in the UK: Aria.
You can use plenty of 'less' official sites to buy stuff from - Shopawl.com - they can get you anything from banggood or aliexpress. You can get Amazon gift cards from gyft.com... and so on...
With Bitcons you will be able to build any PC you would like without even need of exchanging BTC to 'money'. Just google for bitcoin accepting shops in your region.

If you have some bitcoin its better to store it than to sell it. But it hassle to store only so if you don't, you can invest it or trade it in any site. You can trade also in my signature in sooner. Or trade some of your bitcoin so that you can earn while you're still waiting and you can invest also.

Through purse.io, you can buy stuff from amazon, and you even get a discount. I believe you can buy electronics at newegg using btcoin.

When you expect to make a purchase or service from amazon rather than selling it to fiat, purse.io helps you through the join service provide for buying with bitcoin option in amazon.

I can swap it for you. Escrow recommended.

buy steam games directly with bitcoins

there are plenty of good ones that will run in any computer that is able to run the old CS 1.6

also you can buy gift cards for United State stores, but you already know about it

Few posts later he wrote he is from Korea. I googled for a few seconds and immediately found some eshops which are accepting bitcoin. I found also a korean service which pays for you at some big shops which don't accept bitcoins directly.

But how would you change bitcoin to fiat on this forum if he doesn't have PayPal or a bank account? Without ID you can't have a credit card, so you can't have also PayPal. Huh

I think you don't even know how to even convert bitcoin
Into fiat ( your currency).
Well it is not necessary for you to convert your bitcoin to use them.
You can directly make purchases using bitcoins.
If your are interested in games , steam is the best place
Where you can buy your games with bitcoins.
If you like coffee go to starbucks order a coffee pay with bitcoins.
And payment with bitcoins is very easy let me tell you.

This is a good example of a large company that is making Bitcoin available as a form of payment. I think the first big companies to take initiative will be online shopping companies, and probably someday amazon.com will be among these companies.

Where do you live? Almost every country have some exchange zone which you can convert your Bitcoin into money or you can also contact some sellers in your area in order to sell BItcoin to them. I bet that they will buy it with a pleasure price
If you do not want to convert it into cash, you can use your Bitcoin for many purposes on the internet. You can try gambling and if you are lucky, you may win some Bitcoin Cheesy

I bet you have a friend, and aunt, a parent, and other known relative that is older than you that have the requirements to be validated.  Why not ask them politely to help you out so that you can encash your money. That is for encashing your Bitcoin.

And about amazon, you can trade gift codes in exchange for bitcoin on the marketplace / digital goods

You can also use localbitcoins.com And exhcnage with money. Also support previously mentioned purse.io
Yes, localbitcoins is said to be fine mostly. You just arrange a meeting with a person, bring a computer, send him btc and this person gives you cash instead. As for Amazon, there's been many news about it accepting bitcoin at least in a way that you can buy a gift card with btc but I don't think it is possible directly on Amazon.com. But hey, a lot of people bitcoin is a currency of the future, so maybe you shouldn't sell them at all. Wink

Yes there are many exchanges that they won't bother about your age, just they need some % on exchanging that all. It's better find any local exchange because it is good for you to exchange into your local currency because again if you convert to USD and again you need to convert your local currency.

If you want to buy amazon gift card/code i would suggested you to use either egifter/gyft. i used egifter recently and they delivered the code with a minute.

There are many traders available on localbitcoins who buy bitcoins for cash so you need to sell your bitcoins to those traders and collect cash in return and for that you don't need to verify your age or provide any identity proof and you can do it very easily and smoothly and traders on localbitcoins are very trusted so do not have fear of getting scammed.

You could also think not to sell if you don't need cash. I mean hold it because bitcoin is a good investment instrument and big potential to rise against the dollar and also other fiats. Maybe you can use your bitcoin which you want to sell now, for the price of your education, your university if you are planning to go.

Purse.io is not safe as people think, I have read that many people had issue using with purse.io even after they have received the funds the police come to them and asked to send back the items because the funds where not legal and this made people think more than once before spending the bitcoins.

Ohh purse.io has a risk to use , You might come to jail if you are proven guilty with that but I think it is depending on rules of the government . I think I will avoid using purse.io using it because of it. Ive tried using it one time but I dont have any problem with it.

I think the stuff Overstock sells is overpriced. A better way would be to buy Amazon gift cards and buy the goods yourself. It's even possible to save some money because you could get some gift cards for less than their face value from reputable sellers if you look around hard enough.

Well, it might be better to exchange bitcoin do you have at the exchanger, such as localbitcoin or purse. it is a reliable places to exchange bitcoin be something you can use to conduct transactions freely on the internet. well, very many such sites that provide pretty good service.

So better option is to exchange your bitcoin to fiat currency in any local exchange or find any trusted members in this forum they will buy coins for fiat currency you can make trade with them. Many negative comments we are getting against purse.io so in this situation safer side stay away from this site and find a new reputed site to spend your coins.

Yes there is some other options to use bitcoin if you cant sell it, like other says investing in altcoins which could be profitable to your bitcoin and even make it bigger soon. You can cash out your bitcoin into fiat cash through online wallet and use it for investing business which earns fiat money income.

Yes there are a lot of websites to spend bitcoin, but for OP's requirement I think purse.io is best or he can just buy some Amazon gift cards from paxful.

You can ask a help to your family members like to your parents or elder siblings. So you make an account for them then provide their real information but before that you should have first a permission and let them know your purpose, where and for what you will use it.

You can do all sort of activities that you do with fiat, in a recent article a man has bought a house with bitcoin. On this the purchaser has profited $1million due to the timely fluctuations. This transaction has been made with the support of bitpay.

Another thing to do which is outside getting something for yourself in which seems impossible for you to do now since you cant literally spend, is to give it out to charity as I am sure there are charitable organisations that are in need of funds for water projects in a far away land, or eradicate polio in another far city, or for the provision of basic items for refugees among other noble cause that the bitcoin can be channeled into.

If you want to use your Bitcoin to build up a PC Gaming them maybe you should try to buy it from https://www.newegg.com/
As you can see here https://kb.newegg.com/Article/Index/12/3?id=1359, Bitcoin has listed on their payment methods. And I don't think that you will need an ID card to buy some stuff from there, you should be fine.
By the way, how did you win a Bitcoin on a CSGO match? Did you and your friend have a bet? Cheesy

Also check out http://www.tigerdirect.com/ and http://www.dell.com/ . Both also take bitcoin. And when you go to get your game you might try http://store.steampowered.com/ . I think they still take BTC.

Hi invict44, I am willing to buy your bitcoins at a reasonable price if you still looking for a way to sell your coins. PM me if you're interested.
Also, have you considered using your bitcoins to make more. There are plenty of legit ways to use your bitcoins to make money online. Plenty of sites accept bitcoin now a days. Just saying, think of the future Wink

Through purse.io, you can buy stuff from amazon, and you even get a discount. I believe you can buy electronics at newegg using btcoin.

awwwwwwwwwwww this sounds so awesome but purse is apparently only for american citizens and newegg doesnt ship to my country. Forgot to say im in Korea
Then your best bet is to do a face to face trade with someone that wants bitcoin in your country, I suppose you are in South Korea, and that is a big country even if there are not a lot of users of bitcoin you are bound to find someone.

I always keep my bitcoins save in my wallet and dont sell or use it.
I guess OP must follow you. When we are getting enough options to sell and to use bitcoins, we must hold and wait for right time to use. Because over time, we will get more option to use instead of selling it.

Personally I never prefer selling bitcoins for enjoying benefits out of it. I love saving bitcoins for longer periods like one example purpose, for my retirement. If we believe into bitcoins then there would be no questions on holding them for unknown time periods.

You could buy steam codes from Steam/G2A with BitPay and sell the codes on g2a or similar market. As long as you are cashing out to paypal less than $5,000, you shouldn't be under much scrutiny.

i think you can to try find a person that selling amazon gift or by using third service like purse.io or another sites and you can choose the stuff to build your own gaming pc. but if you are really need fiat, then my suggestion is you need to find someone around you that could help you to sell your bitcoin or you can use localbitcoin to sell it.

You can invest it in other altcoins or assets on burst and nxt platforms and you can also get a bitcoin debit card which then yu can use anytime anywhere to buy things you need or like or just take home in paper currency.

Yes there is some other options to use bitcoin if you cant sell it, like other says investing in altcoins which could be profitable to your bitcoin and even make it bigger soon. Although its difficult to accept that one cannot sell bitcoin. I think one can send bitcoin in seconds. Secondly, if you are facing the problem to convert it in to fiat then you have some other options, you can spend your bitcoin using online shops. I think that is the best solution if you really cannot sell your bitcoin.

This is nice but there could be circumstances where you need to spend your bitcoins, I think a bitcoin debit card could be a good option or even a bitcoin vcc since you could use it to spend online anywhere the fiat is accepted and with a debit card you could even withdraw the money.

You can spend your bitcoins on Steam buying some games, but i think in the long term you might regret it  Wink  store the info for your wallet and stick it away somewhere safe and forget about them, in 5 years you will be glad your friend convinced you to buy them........ Grin

While there are many people unable to sell their bitcoins, at first when I was getting to know bitcoin I couldn't find a way to buy it. every where I went and registered resulted in failure I came back empty handed, and it was the reason why I joined cloud mining in the first place just to have some coins in my wallet.

So, how was it about sold your bitcoin? Success or not?
I'm wondering if you really need help about sell bitcoin in Korea, do you live in South or North area? How old are you?
You have to provide all of necessary information about yourself, so people here can help you instead of giving suggestions but nothing comes from you, seems like untrusted. But, you may try to :
- hold your bitcoin
- ask your friend/brother/family to help you to provide id or bank account.
- there are a lot of local exchanges (search on google or facebook) that you can sell bitcoin without any id, but you need a bank account which refers to point above.

Why not sell bitcoins directly for amazon gift card? there are many services who will do that for you instantly. egifter is awesome for buying gift card, i used them recently and got the gift card code instantly.
