HI guys, I am realy beginner in this area. Can somebody help me with information about all process ? What is better ? Do minning with video card or ASIC ? Which is most profitably - bitcoins or other crypto currency. How ot choose wallet, code ot pool ? Thanks in advance !

No matter what cryptocurrency you're mining, ASIC is always better. Just be aware that ASIC will only work for a specific algorithm. SHA256 ASICs only works for SHA256 coins such as bitcoin but it won't work for Litecoin or Ethereum. Which is most profitably - bitcoins or other crypto currency. There are hundreds of "other crypto currency". You'll have to be a little more specific. How ot choose wallet, code ot pool ? Thanks in advance ! Choose your coin first. |

If you have a good GPU already just start with mining Ethereum or another similar coin.
Don't waste money with ASICs yet.

Best card for mining at the moment is RX 470, but if price difference between RX 470 and RX 480 is not that high go for 480. Other stuff like cpu ram just buy cheapest possible. |

My suggestion to start is to just figure out how to mine on whatever computer you already have. No matter what video card. There's a lot to learn with wallets, and pools, and miner and configuring, etc. Then once you've figured out how to mine, you can decide if you want to continue and how much you want to invest. Once you've figured out how to mine, you'll be able to decide for yourself if you want to buy ASIC or GPU. Trust me, set up whatever junker computer you have to mine successfully, then once you've learned you can jump in.
If your goal is profits, you are better off buying and holding coin. Mining has a very long time to reach an ROI, and sometimes if circumstances work against you, ROI can become impossible (especially true with ASIC since once it becomes unprofitable, no-one will want that hardware, at least GPU there is secondhand market).

It really depends if you have already some usefull hardware with a powerful graphic card, or if you plan to build everything from scratch. If you plan to do some investments to your hardware, your ROI will be longer (may be one year or even more), but at the moment when you cover your investments with your earnings from mining, it will be a pure profit. So general answer is yes, it is profitable. The other factor is also your electricity costs. If you want to calculate your real expences, use some online tool for calculating it. There is no single place where you can find all answers, especially when you don't write what hardware do you have. Every card has a different hashrate for a different scrypt, it also depends on your manufacturer, drivers, system, clock, RAM etc. etc. |
