Hello,

recently I came across a defect in the official bitcoin logo:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Promotional_graphics
The 'logo alone' *.svg and *.png file contain the same defect.

If you were thinking about printing a huge BTC poster - be aware of it Smiley

I can fix it and send to Bitcoin Wiki admins - please PM me if you would like me to do it (as a volunteer).

BTW. It might be one of the reasons why we're not on the moon yet Smiley It might cause strongly interferes with aerodynamics and trajectory. Smiley

Best wishes.

Edit:

Logo fixed: https://github.com/roslinpl/bitcoinLogo

https://github.com/roslinpl/bitcoinLogo/blob/master/bitcoinLogo.svg
https://github.com/roslinpl/bitcoinLogo/blob/master/bitcoinLogo1000.png
https://github.com/roslinpl/bitcoinLogo/blob/master/bitcoinLogo10000x10001.png
https://github.com/roslinpl/bitcoinLogo/blob/master/bitcoinLogo10000x10001_compressed.png
https://github.com/roslinpl/bitcoinLogo/blob/master/bitcoinLogo_withShadow.svg

It includes also a fix for an original bitcoinLogo_withShadow.svg because the shadow was cut at sides.
Another fix is that after resizing width to 10000px from the original (or fixed) bitcoinLogo.svg file the height seems to be 10001px so I saved it in a resolution 10000px x 10001px.
Also I compressed it to 329 KB without any visible loss of quality (https://github.com/roslinpl/bitcoinLogo/blob/master/bitcoinLogo10000x10001_compressed.png)

Best wishes.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Nice find! Wonder how it got there without anyone noticing until now. You could always fix it, get edit privileges and add a note when you edit the page linking this thread, or explaining the minor mistake. I don't see a problem with fixing it now and posting it here either, as the images are in the public domain and you shouldn't have any issues.

taking a break - expect delayed responses

You're right Smiley Fix coming.

Edit:

At the moment I don't have edit privileges but I will get it, here's the fix:

Fixed Bitcoin Logo: https://github.com/roslinpl/bitcoinLogo

PS. Locking down. I think there is no need to reply to it anymore Smiley
Best wishes.
