The fee on this transaction is quite low so it could take quite some time to confirm as the recommended fees are about 100 satoshis/byte right now. I would recommend you use the Dynamic Fees option in Electrum in the future ( Enable it in Preferences ). This will give you a slider to control how fast you wish for a confirm and does a pretty good job at estimating accurate fees.

Is there anything I can do now to maybe  help the process? I've never run into this type of issue with BTC. Do I need to worry about the funds? It's been about 5 hours... I'm just not sure what to do. I'm guessing there is no way to up the fees now? I'm very confused as to what my next step is.
Thank you very much for your help

One thing you could try is the Via Transaction Accelerator at https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ . This can sometimes help speed up the process of confirmation.

Alternatively, if you have access to the change of that transaction, you can attempt to sped the change with a high fee and that will sometimes help prioritize the confirmation of the original transaction as well.
