A former Federal Reserve employee has been sentenced to 12 months' probation and fined $5000 for installing software on a Fed server to use its computing power to earn bitcoins.

Seriously, what was this guy thinking?  So stupid that he think he can get away with it?

It happened recently when the federal reserve staff used the confidential server for mining purpose. As those were high configuration it could be fast in the mining process. Fortunately he got noticed and caught red handed. Haven't levied a big fine, just $5000 with 12 month probation which is not a big thing for a fed staff.

outstanding can break down and sneak into the server board for personal gain, it is unfortunate fate of former employees of the Federal Reserve, I think he did this there is disappointment terhatap them, and he might just disuru by a particular person.

This is not the first time this has happened, history has a way to repeat it self, and nobody seems to learn from it. In another article http://www.businessinsider.com/researcher-bitcoin-supercomputers-2014-6 a researcher were caught mining Bitcoin with a government super computer.

He only managed to mine 12-16 bitcoins valued between $8,000 and $10,000. ^smile^
