In addition to Tomatocage's BTC address staking thread -- post a signed Bitcoin message here and let another user quote and verify it.

You can sign any kind of message you wish.

Code:
Message:
Friday, 3. February 2017. Eternalize your Bitcoin message on Bitcointalk.

Address:
1HxWEU9x6bMMfysNGCVSMgy7fxCYJDxNFd

Signature:
HF/zhfqG+CII7bOfzPup2nxevS0v8lWhxohNfhksYZnpR7q0NEWrQdrOPxaba9i85yD27fixa71z9QB17tmTiU0=

Please note:
You should be really careful about making a thread for signed Bitcoin messages. If you don't make them specific enough, you could end up making an easy thread for scammers to find sources for BTC identity theft.

If you sign a message that says, "I am the owner of this account" for example, someone can just copy and paste that message and use it. That said, hopefully people are smart enough to ask for a specific signed message asking for "I am the owner of this account *insert date and time*" but still.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Why?! The other one is still open and one thread is enough for staking your address.

Point?

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!
