One guy Krupa from Localbitcoins contacted me because of some biz idea. He was talking about starting a BTC sportsbook as well as about buying and selling BTC locally in India. I sent him some 1 BTC for a start and instead of paying it back, he asked for more. So I sent him some more, but because it wasn't enough for some "transaction", I tried to get some more using a loan https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1286917.msg13229250 and later got my partner to lend him. The result is some 8 BTC lost for just 2 people, Localbitcoins closed his account because of numerous complaints, but didn't reveal the amount others reported to be stiffed of. Anyway if someone with such a contact info wants to lend BTC, don't do that Smiley chunkgameworld@gmail.com, krupamarketworld@gmail.com, Skype:fungamingzone
EDIT: seems to me there are 2 typical behaviors of such scammers: they ask for more when you want to get the money back and they (video)call you
He also sent such IDs

These scammers has no honor so even if you found them, they wouldn't care. Publishing their names as scammers won't help still. Search for "fungamingzone" on google and you'll see some information about him bu if he is using fake documents online, it wouldn't be easy to track him.

I have been scammed by an Indian as well, I finally tracked him and only to find out they are buying odesk/upwork accounts including the emails and the documents of the users for only $200.

"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity" , "This is not a scam!" , "You won't regret it!" -- I know these catchy words they use. Seeing these will automatically label them as scam.

I don't understand. Why would you keep sending him money? Why did you do it in the first place? Give someone 1000USD and expect for them to give it back to you? Really? REALLY?! Then send him even more?!

Not like that.
Not in a get rich quick scheme.
That is what this was from the sounds of it.

People who keep asking for more after getting some without paying back what they took is likely to be pulling a scam on you.

That is just common sense man.
Use this as a lesson. An expensive one but never the less it is one to learn from.

Well, in order to get somewhere you need to take risks.

Appropriate risks.

I am sure you knew this stuff was risky as it is already.
And i also bet you had a voice in your head with FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt)
..but you didn't listen to it.

You are obviously young.
People tend to get smarter with age.
Which means ?

You listen to your gut over anyone else's verbal bullshit.

I wouldn't trust my own mother fully let alone a stranger on the web.
Grow up.
Learn a lesson from this and get smarter.

Sadly people need to learn the hard way.
It seems to create the mental pathways to ingrain the lesson.
Like learning math and having parts of it rhyme to remember it.

I had guys on LBC try and scam me too and i laughed at them and negged them hard.
Be strong and listen to yourself not others.
It would be better to be embarrassed or something after losing 1 BTC than.. 8

I have not tried to track him down, it'd be a waste of time most likely.

Fake documents can be bought for 100 dollars or less. Don't bother to track him down. He must have a lot of other fake identities to conduct his scams. Nothing to do except to curse him or pray against him. God will punish him sooner or later.

Exactly, I just ignored it. I should allow myself to listen to that in such cases.

Certainly, it's not worth to spend more time and miney just to punish such scammer, unless he stoled millions of money, he should be arressted. However, what happened of being scammed should be a lesson. Never trust a person you don't know ever again.

THAT is why i think i am smart.

THAT has saved my life more than once.
YOU are the smart one everyone else is an idiot.

Everyone is trying to convince you of shit for THEIR agenda's.
Even your family and friends..

Your own voice should be the deciding factor.
With age you get better at listening to that voice you have that warns you.

The worst thing that can happen is dick heads can strip the confidence away you have in yourself.
And they try..
They all want to plant seeds of doubt then whisper in your ear to manipulate you.

Be strong.
Don't willingly give away your power.
It's yours.. use it !

Bottom Line:
I *AM* sorry to hear about your loss.. 8 grand is a painful lesson.
Hopefully you REALLY did learn a lesson here and your topic here can prevent others from learning the hard way.

If it sounds to good to be true.. it is probably a bad risk to take.
Which is what this stuff is about.. risk assessment.. and making reasonable & sane decisions.
