Hey guys,

I'm new to mining & cryptocurrencies, I'm trying to learn about mining, one thing I'm not sure about is how to calculate profitability.

For example, let's say I want to calculate Ethereum potential profits when using the blake2s algorithm with two GTX 1060 cards.

According to this post:

  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1575547.msg15890674

hash rate is:
  • 1180 MH/s on blake2s
  • 22.5 MH/s on Lyra2REv2

but most mining calculators online (ie. https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/eth ) don't allow me to specify the algorithm, and I know hash rate is different depending on the algorithm used, which means that their estimation is wrong if I'm going to use an algorithm other than the default one.

My question is: how can I calculate profitability in my case (two GTX 1060 cards + blake2s algorithm)

Thanks!

Try https://whattomine.com

You have two options,  fill out hash rate for your cards to know the most profitable coin for each algorithm or check dual mining ( Ethereum + sia, dcr, lbry)

It seems you are not making a good search , there is nothing called etherum hashrate with differnet algos ..each coin has it's own algorithm example: for zcash it's equihash , for btc it's SHA256 ,for etherum it's daggerhashimoto ....your gpu has a specific speed on each algo...so a specific speed on each coin
