The real question is, who bought at $250+? What were your thoughts at the time?

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

I would have if it didn't take so long to get money into Mt.Gox.

Thank God for that.

There's gotta be someone out there who bought back at the top of the original bubble, then sold at $2, then bought at $266. Oh hitler.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

xD poor guy... i hope he has the resolve (and funds) to keep trying -- he's lining everyone else's pockets!  Grin

Probably thought the same as those who bought at $150 and $200. They thought the price would continue to rise.

People were calling the top the whole way up, it just turned out to be at $266.

This forum was full of people shouting about the price heading to $1k and how it was time to buy.  They were either talking up the price of their much cheaper bitcoins or had actually bought at that price and wanted to see it continue higher.  Many people including myself pointed out the absurdity of the exponential price growth yet many justifications were developed by those that didn't see the bubble for what it was.    Cyprus, Chinese speculators, a blogging website accepting bitcoins, etc.  None of that mattered and still doesn't.

It's not different this time.

I did see an analysis that bubbles doubles up faster and faster and then it pops. it might be a really good indication in the future. it took 7 days from 133 to 266? If it continued, $500 in 3-4 days. Pretty good info eh.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Lol, that's around when I sold. Not happy with this recent rundown with my remaining coins, but I've profited overall so I can't complain.
