Edit  I have this psu

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182384

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rosewill-TOKAMAK-1500W-Full-Modular-Power-Supply-80-PLUS-TITANIUM-Certified/172455843785?

It is really quite good and a better price then the evga 1600 p2      if you must build a six card rig

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=501   a good review his biggest issue was price and now it is on sale

Don't

Consider  two rigs instead.

Biostar z170   https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138421
1 stick of 4 gb ram. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148856
1 g4400 CPU  https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2F84D69076
1 evga 750 watt psu p2   https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438057    will run 4 cards
3 Msi RX 470 8 gb  http://www.provantage.com/msi-rx-470-gaming-8g~7MST92AT.htm  or the 4gb which is lower cost
1 pcie stick using simplemining os  http://www.ebay.com/itm/112143250197?       I loaded 8 of these and use them with simplemining

my simplemining rigs

here are some as four card setups but 3 card ones run well and you can expand to newer better cards when they come out as you have empty space.

I feel honored that a guru replied to my message, I've been reading your posts Phil since my first day here.

So,
1. PSU, I am keeping your suggestion, further from the reviews it's $50 less than the EVGA.

2. You began a sentence... Don't ...do what?

3. Why u are suggesting two rigs instead of one? Minig results are better?
The costs are quite higher and more space is required

4. MSI RX470 PCIE 8GB vs XFX Radeon RS RX 480 8GB
XFX is a newer model and it costs (now) $10 more
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150774
U suggested the MSI probably because simplemining OS does not support XFX (I don't know, just guessing) or for some other reason?

5. 1 pcie stick using simplemining os  http://www.ebay.com/itm/112143250197?
I don't what is this hardware for... excuse me. Can u please provide me the usage of it.

6. Thanks about simplemining !
Forum is chaotic that's way I didn't even know that tool existed

7. Question:
Does simplemining OS has compatibility issues with some hardware?

8. Aren't you facing temperature issues the way you have built it, one GPU attached to another?

Thanks again!

Okay  look at temps I pulled a screen shot from above.

Philipma1957D  is a four card rig  using the pcie 3 rx 470's 1 rx 480  all msi rx 470

I use them because no backplate allows them to fit on the biostar z170 board.
I use the pcie card as the boot drive. Mounts to the board 1 less wire.

The don't  was used as an attention getter  to look at the biostar four card builds

Look at rig Philipma1957C  temps are great with 3 cards

May I ask why do you not use risers for your rigs?

saves space  and temps are controlled well enough.
I am in New Jersey  I simple open and close the back door of my garage and temps are fine.
My state has winter and summer power rates.  So every spring I sell most gear off.

No riser issues.  I can use a smaller psu  the evga p2 750 watts does 4 card rigs easy.
That rack can fit 24 cards on 6 four card rigs.
with door open today  room drops to 80f
with door closed at night rooms moves to 93f
here are temps with door open
