Guys, look carefully about nitro models. They have alot of versions, suck as stock one, + and OC.

I'm taling about + version. The basic one dont have dual bios, lower memory and cheaper chips, they also have different design(8 pin pus on the top) and different vents.

well crap, then maybe is better for me to buy good rx470 model because 480 sapphire nitro+ is little bit over budget

on that online shop (its cheapest online shop in EU that ship to Croatia - i think? please correct me if I'm wrong) I can get Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 470 8.0 GB OC  for same price as stock sapphire 480 nitro that I posted on previous page. Or maybe ASUS STRIX RX470 8.0 GB - i don't have experience with this card

It's strange that Mindfactory doesn't send to Croatia, and with caseking there is no UPS service for Croatia so the postage is quite high.
There are currently rx 480 Nitro+ 8 GB on caseking for 269: https://www.caseking.de/sapphire-radeon-rx-480-nitro-8g-8192-mb-gddr5-gcsp-151.html

I've see on Newegg the Powercolor 8GB comes with a higher effective memory clock of 8Gbps. This is higher than the Sapphires and MSI brands. Check it out for yourself! Just do a side by side comparison on Newegg. The faster the memory the faster the mining, not to mention the BIOS mods.

Can you post the link?

Red Devil model or?

Anyways, I'd rather go on sapphire instead of powercolor.

hi! I'm looking for a topik that can help me how to mod the msi rx 480 4gb bios. That i saw on 470's does not work. And someone show me that you need to paste just from 1725 to 2000, but these methods doesn't work. Please give me some guidance to fix this issue if its possible. THX Cheesy

Does anyone know the current hash rates for Sapphire Nitro+ 480 4GB and 8GB for ZEC, PASC and XMR? I would greatly appreciate it!

I'm looking into selling my GTX 1080 (got it for free) and purchase two Nitro 480 8GB or three Nitro 480 4GB. There's about €50 in price difference between the two, but I am also going to use this PC for gaming as well. I'm pretty sure the 4GB version is "good enough" (I know I'll be losing a lot of gaming performance compared to the GTX 1080, but I'll be able to use Freesync instead, so it compensates somewhat) but if the 8GB version has vastly higher hash rate, then I might go for two of those instead.

After all, I'll be looking to sell these eventually and perhaps upgrade to an RX 490 whenever it's released, or shortly after.

Thanks!

Well, hashrate for ETH depends mostly of memory vendor. On 8GB versions you'll probably get samsung chips. I think it's the best deal, 'coz you can hit 30 mhs very easy with modded bios ofc. 4gb versions have elpida, samsung and hynix. These another two can hit 28-28,5-29mhs max. Depends of luck.

So, for now 8gb versus 4gb dont have big differences. I have mixed 4 and 8gb versions so i know what I'm saying.

ZEC, you can hit 300-310 sols max for now.
Pascal ~ 750 mh/s
Monero ~ 800+ mhs (didn't tested yet, I'll post results in day or two)
