What were some of the warning signs from this scam?
This isn't a discussion thread, therefore do not attempt to discuss the events.

Address used to invest with: 1569sNNM8G6jhAqiMaoReEnfc146q3LAQj

Signed message:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
1569sNNM8G6jhAqiMaoReEnfc146q3LAQj
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----
1FLLVFpdnBQLULcQvYLUqKHiqvfKEjFCDx

-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
This won't work. You need to sign the message (see format in OP) using the address you invested with. In this case you invested with Address A (1569sNNM8G6jhAqiMaoReEnfc146q3LAQj) and signed with Address B (1FLLVFpdnBQLULcQvYLUqKHiqvfKEjFCDx). You need to sign a message with Address A.

this is from my exchange wallet, sorry could not figure how to sign
You can't. If you manage to properly sign the first address (as mentioned above), it will be fine.

Whilst not being the proper message format, it verifies and therefore is adequate. If you want to do this 100% properly, then you'd sign this message (but not required at this point):

Quote
This is investments.blockchain, and today is 12.02.2016. I'm signing this message in order to prove ownership of my address used to invest into ASC.

Your signed message does verify, but it's useless to me. I was wrong about my previous statement, but that's why I triple check users before I add them to anything.

Address used to invest with: 1FLLVFpdnBQLULcQvYLUqKHiqvfKEjFCDx
Amount: 0.05 BTC

Miscellaneous:Repayment address (if different):1PyRMBYkvByJJxYUejTG8MNNFyX8vdmB4T
You did not use that address to invest with. You used: 1569sNNM8G6jhAqiMaoReEnfc146q3LAQj ;; that's the address that you have to sign a message with.

Hopefully first repayments will happen today. I may extend the claiming period for a few more days, but after this no further claims will be accepted. As an investor you need to act responsibly in time.

I've extended that to the 20th of February. We have been waiting for Coinbase to process the remaining funds, which took an awfully long time. Anyhow, you should see the first repayments within the 24 hours. I'll try to speed it up as much as possible. You should receive your original funding amount minus approximate TX fees (~20 cents).

The mantis (minerjones) is still asleep. Cheesy You can check the status of payments in the second table here. If you are marked as orange, this means that a payment proposal has been maid for said user/address. It requires all three escrows to sign before it can process.

You're very welcome everyone. Smiley I'm trying my best to speed it up as possible, albeit the timezone difference + triple-checking and lack of coin control makes the process slower.

Third batch initiated (marked in orange).

This is still wrong. You still used the other address to sign the message. Once you sign, you can check with this website if it verifies: http://www.coinig.com
Please PM me as soon as you read with the information about your wallet and I will try to help you.
