- It depends on how much Bitcoin they can risk. So for some it may be only 10BTC for whales they can risk even 1000BTC or more.

- Profits/loss depends on your bankroll, so if you can risk high amount of bitcoin than you can make high profit along with risk of high loss.

- You can start trading even with <1BTC but you may not be able to earn enough to cover your living expenses, professional traders either trade with investors bankroll or they will put their own earning in trading.

the answer is the same that i always give to any other topics with different subject.
it doesn't matter you start or already trade and are a professional, there is no limit.
you can trade with 0.1BTC and consider it high or you can trade with 1000BTC and consider that high.
the only important factor to remember is to only invest what you can afford to lose.
for example if all your money in the world is 10BTC then you should never trade with 10BTC. instead do it with at least half of it.

You're right if a newbie trader should use a minimal amount for minimize losses. But for professional traders actually free to trade in any amount, so I think the large number of BTC did not make into the professional trader but skill and good management. Large or small number of BTC will only affect with large or small profit, professional traders use a large amount of BTC because they want to earn big profits.

if a personal is professional trader then he must have good knowledge experience and skill in trading. therefore i do not think that such person need any suggestion. but still i will like to add that a professional person also need such amount of bitcoin in trading which he can easily bare to lose. because trading also depend on luck and some time a person having good knowledge and experience in trading but still he  face big troubles in trading.

True. You still can do btc/usd with the just the minimum but not worth doing. Its best to have more than 10 btc to take profit every times it surge and then buy back when it dip. I'm not lucky to have a lot of btc when i started trading and so I did it on altcoins which is a a long process and could end up losing as well. You could even be scammed because of the ICO that we're set up by crooks.

The disadvantage  when sticking to BTC over fiat is that you loss the chance of earning huge with just the minimum investment if an altcoin hits the moon.

how is it not worth trading bitcoin with small amounts if you are a beginner? you know everything is percentage right? fee, profit, change,... so in the end it doesn't matter if you do it with 10BTC or 0.01BTC you will pay 0.2% fee and make whatever percent you can make.

also the disadvantage of going to altcoin trading is losing a huge amount too. in altcoins there is the same chance of falling big time as there is a chance of rising big time, and usually people forget the falling (dump) part.

To be honest, I don't believe that there is any concept of the professional trade. A trade is either right trade or wrong trade, that's it. A right trade gives us good profits (ROI) at the end and a wrong trade gives us the experience to go for a right trade.

Now coming back to your topic, there is no such requirement or predefined value. If you are a Satoshi Nakamoto then you can start will smaller amounts like 100K or 200K BTC but if you are not then you can start with 0.01 BTC and in both cases trader will get the same experience (ignore blood pressure). Professionalism is how effectively you do it with the available resources. This is my personal opinion and everyone can have their own opinion.

If you need daily income then you may need to trade 50 to 100 Bitcoins at a time because you may not get even 1% gain per day.

Try to start with a low amount, there is no specific amount or measure. Depend on your feeling.
If you want big profit and try to trade with big capital.

When you have handful experience in trading with small amounts move for a next phase of being a professional bitcoin trader. To be professional at least 25 bitcoin is a must. Only then with the continued buying and selling process you can get some good profit based upon the profit margin fixed.
