I think this would be really helpful for a lot of people.  Hardware wallets are more common amongst Bitcoiners these days and I think it would be helpful to complement the Alternative Wallets subforum that get riddled with Hardware wallet questions.

Just a thought...

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

It's been proposed before: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1767654.0

Wouldn't necessarily be against it but not sure if there's enough demand for it right now.

Fair enough, but I think you could certainly say there'd be more interest in a Hardware Wallets forum than a lot of other graveyard forums here, no?

I already suggested that as hilariousandco linked you. I'm with the idea and I think there will be enough users using that section and when we speak about dead sections then I could agree that Meetups and Legal sections are not active enough and should be removed or enhanced somehow while the others are just fine.

Call me a necrobumper here but If you go to the Alternative clients you'll find that huge part of the posts are for discussing the HW.
As an owner of one, I would push the suggestion to create a separate section for the HW. I hope you'll see the need now.

These wallets have few problems related to it[1], the material cost and high risk make users use a limited number of H W.
Creating a new section means more work for mods, the resources of these mods are limited to the benefit of that sections.

Open the topic for the HW wallets in the Beginner section then, you'll educate the newcomers and also you'll advertise the HW wallets as a kind of really secure storage (I know that every storage can be only as secure as the owner makes it, this is why newbies need some advice how to deal with these kind of wallets and how not to fall for the ebay/etc. cheap and hacked offers).
I saw some similar topics in the Bitcoin Discussion also, but this is a kind of topic that easily can become a spam megathread...
