You need to slightly modify your post. There are different types of terrorism, such as religious terrorism, drug-related terrorism, communist terror.etc. There are non-Muslims involved in some types of terror, such as the NDFP / NPA of the Philippines. But 99% of the terrorism motivated by religion are committed by Muslims.

Mexican drug cartels along with US/Mexican border certainly do practice terrorism, including beheadings.

There are various causes of terrorism. There are ethnic like genocides in Africa, crime-related like drug violence in Mexico and then there's religious terrorism. Granted, Islam have no monopoly in religious terrorism. For example, Christian mobs had torn down a pagan temple in Alexandria before.

Making explosives is easy as hell, an average person just won't know what dairy products to mix and at what proportions.

I have checked some of the dark market sites. Although I couldn't find any IEDs or grenade-launchers up for sale, I saw plenty of C4 and other explosive materials listed for immediate purchase. Technology has progressed to such an extent that soon portable nuclear weapons also will be available in these markets.
