So ask them why other muslims are different. My guess is that your friends have somewhat decent human beings as clerics or if not, your friends are themselves decent and don't pay attention to the radical propaganda.

Actually, yes you do relate terrorism with religion, when the terrorists say their terrorist actions are for the religion.

If the root cause of terrorism is religion, then how can we ignore this factor? And you need to understand the difference between terrorism and crime. And till now, I haven't heard about Hindu or Buddhist terrorism. Could you please give a few examples it?

Fikihafana argues we shouldn't collect comparative data between religions on terrorist activity. How could that be right? Of course such matters should be studied. How else can we understand ANYTHING but by studying it? This is exactly the kind of attitude that holds the Islamic world back in science and engineering.

Many religions have been determined to be "bad" in the past. For example those which advocated sacrifice of humans and cannibalism.  I can't see anything wrong with a scientifically objective comparative view of religions as "good or bad."

Of course on the opposite side we have the internal view of the Islam religion, where those who practice it are "good" and all others are "bad."

I am very sadden that Muslim people are being stereotyped as the "terrorists." I know a lot of Muslim people and so far, they have been good to me. Yes, there might be some Muslim people who are a terrorist but let's not stereotyped and be afraid to them. They are good if you are good to them and bad if you are bad to them.
