Just wondering how many people plan on never returning BTC or Other Cryptos back to GOV FIAT, that is they plan to wait for broad based adoption of BTC et.al so you can buy goods services, houses, bread...etc

This sort of view is a mind set I guess, but it makes the whole USD/BTC drama irrelevant to a large extent

I can't say i'll never sell any coins, but my hope is btc will continue to grow and I won't have to. Haven't sold any yet and thinking about getting some more very soon.

I hope I will never sell BTC for FIAT. I'm in for the long run. BTC is one of my source of hope for a better future, if it fails I'll feel much happier being part of that failure than being part of a FIAT success.

RUM AND CARROTS: A PIRATE LIFE FOR ME

I'd consider that possibility. The question will probably arise though if selling BTC for USD on the exchange itself will count as repatriating in the legal sense. It would be hard to day trade if you had to pay tax on every time you flipped a coin for a profit.

In America we have an expression "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" - Here, the FDIC insures up to $250,000 in savings against losses.  Above 250k, or in stock markets, and you're on your own.  Not sure what happened over there but I heard about them taking money from depositors.  What would have happened if they just let Cyprus go bankrupt?  I'm not sure.  Nobody is sure what the best way to do it would be.

Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.

I too am a true believer; However, it's not fun watching the 75% haircut.

I've been holding since before the 1st bubble when we went to $3.

Everyone just needs to remember that things in BTC land happen at a very
accelerated pace - AND, that our coins are divisible to 12 decimal places.....

I may, but only to pay off debt.

I hate debt.

My plan is to set aside certain reserves of BTC for various events or timelines.  For example:
- 100 BTC for when it can buy me a house (or possibly, just pay off the one I already have)
- 50 BTC for when it can pay off my school loans
- 50 BTC to not be used for 10 years
- 25 BTC to not be used for 25 years

Something along those lines.  Then whatever else I have, I'll use whenever I feel like it for whatever I feel like.
