I use bitcoins.

I don't use them as much as I'd like, mainly because there's not enough stuff being sold that I care enough about to buy. That's slowly changing, though.

If there is something that will make Bitcoin succeed, it is growth of utility - greater quantity and variety of goods and services offered for BTC. If there is something that will make Bitcoin fail, it is the prevalence of users convinced that BTC is a magic box that will turn them into millionaires, and of the con-artists who have followed them here to devour them.

Likewise.

Today my business is going to accept its first BitPay payment. I turned down the customer's cash and will bill them online.

If the merchant accepts bitcoin, that's what I will use.

I am already using it to buy VPN, and I plan to use it for hosting as well as dns when I need to renew those services. I have bought clothes, but that was just in the beginning when I wanted to try it out. Should I need new hardware, I might consider purchasing it for bitcoins, but that's not as easy when you live outside of US and perhaps UK, since I need special keyboards etc.

I am an evangelical missionary heading to China. Donations are welcome here (dedicated wallet): 1H8iswayfTaRb6oe2WjMCRmchBJHYyfx9z

I said sometimes because I use them as much as I can.  The real world usage is still very limited so far though.  Here's to hoping that changes some day soon and I can buy back in before it starts going up again.

Stuff you can do with bitcoins (off the top of my head)

-Buy clothes, computers, etc on sites like bitmit, bitcoinstore, etc
-Buy virtually ANYTHING from an individual who also uses bitcoin
-Buy VPN, hosting, numerous internet services
-Operate an OTC brokerage/exchange
-Evade income tax so you don't have to pay for innocent children being slaughtered by ObamaDrones (disclaimer: I don't evade income taxes, it just so happens that my TI, thanks to my deductions, is below the minimum. No law-breaking here.)
-Buy a car
-Eat at a restaurant (one service contracts over 1000)
-Buy from many thousands of online or OTC merchants via bitpay (yes, they peg to USD and sell, your point?)
-Pizza
-Money laundering
-Pay a taxi (some taxis accept BTC)
-Ending the Fed
-Sending money to relatives in foreign countries instantly and for far, far less than western union
-Settling debts with friends
-Buy drugs on Silkroad
-Donate to many charities
-Donate to your favorite NPO or open-source software project
-Speculate, hoard, spend, give away, use, launder, transfer, transmit, color, mix, flip, send, receive, mine, sign, call, put, invest, short, long, etc
-Buy precious metals - gold, silver, platinum, etc
-And ah yes, who can forget, tits on stripcoin.

I've used them for a number of things on this list, and you should too  Cool

Folks who complain that "You can't actually USE bitcoins for anything except for speculating, drugs, and child porn" are full of SHIT. FULL OF SHIT. They need to get out of their mom's basement, stop FUDding, and start spending bitcoins instead of dirty ben's FIAT.
