You can't, in a rule, you must make it be different than the exist cryptocurrency, I told you about the similar coin was having the existing name with the other coin such as litepascal, ethereumclassic.
It looks like easy for you to change a little part of the name.

Each will be difference coin, but you would protect name on other platforms.

Let say you make Apple coin on counterparty. But you also make Apple coin on ETH, another on ETC another on Omni, ...  Just to protect name so noone else can use them latter on when your Apple coin on Counterparty platform gets popular.  It is First In First Served.

Yup, exchanges will just throw you out. The problem is not with copyright violation. The problem is that the scheme is trying to scam people into buying a new alt using established names. That won't work.
In the real world, you won't be able to call handbags that you make Gucci and sell them on Amazon.
