I've been waiting for Winlevoss' ETF for years. I hope this project won't be delayed anymore, it has been put on hold too many times already.
This is the biggest news in bitcoin history since MtGox collapse, potential effect on price after ETF approval will be huge.
I expect that price might soar to $2000 with ease, and then when people realize that bitcoin is used by regulated financial institution, even higher.

Don't get your hopes high just yet. It is more likely that SEC won't approve the Winklevoss ETF in 2017.
They don't need to give us a serious reason, they could just say it is risky business and markets is not ready for it.
IMO probability that will see positive SEC's reaction this time is less than 30%

Guys let's not get into hype mode!Way too early!!!
The chance the ETF getting approved doesn't seem to be that big.
And Bitcoin will continue growing in value even without that ETF, or one of the other 2 who are in the pipeline.
However such a vehicle would give BTC a huge credibility boost in the financial markets that's for sure.

I am not sure about all these but hope that the price could sustain the same level for some time and if there is any rise in this month we could see a sell off too.I do expect the price could rise 25% in a few months time but not this month.

The problem is that no one can know if SEC will accept this ETF or no (they are delaying its decision for years). If Winklevoss EFT is accepted it will have a positive impact on bitcoin price, but if market expects its approval (growing bitcoin price) and SEC block it prices will go down.

Well, the price of bitcoin has become so volatile that a future 25% increase does not seem something unrealistic. Remember that few days ago the price dropped to ~750 and the current price of $1050 involves a 40% increase in a matter of days, so a future price of $1,250 seems very likely.

I was hyped about it but that was a year ago.
So now it just doesn't matter to me as much since bitcoin price is so high.
I would of been since it was in the grasp of the middle class but now it seems it will only be appealing to the ones that own a lot of bitcoin instead.

It is sounds wonderful, but remember, Bitcoin is still risky, for example, after the rise to $1100 for one coin 2 years ago, just a year later, the price dropped to $150. So I think it would not be so wise to trust this news totally and put all your money into bitcoin now.

but the fact is that we have been hearing the same thing for years. this is not a news to us. and besides this is not the only one of them, there are lots of these things floating around on the internet that you can find. some of them from smaller people in the world of economics and some from some giants. and none of them has happened so far. bitcoin price is rising slowly and we are all happy with it and don't want a flash rise followed by flash crash.

But Mt Gox is the CORE reason BTC fell -- as long as some huge ass exchange or event like that doesn't happen -- it really does appear BTC has no where to go but UP...

I had friends and family use Gox and HATE BTC after what happened -- even though it was not BITCOIN to blame but GOX.

But logic doesn't always dictate price -- people are people.

The SEC is playing games with the approval of the ETF, and this basically boils down to "stall" tactics. The Wall Street giants wants to selectively choose, who will share in the wealth of the world. They will stall this approval for years, if they think it does not benefit the rich people of this world.

I am not optimistic about the approval being finalized in this year. ^hmmmmmm^

The Winklevoss ETF is already priced into the market. People have known about the Winklevii for a long time, do you really thing the news of approval of something that's been in the works for over a year is going to move the market in big ways?

I completely disagree, many people like myself have FORGOT about this and have made 0 investments towards this sense it was going no where.

Now the time is getting near.
