Hi,

So many of you want to run your miner hidden - your reasons are your own!

I have search for a perfect way to do this so that my miners are not closed by my wife or kids - they do not know how to get it going again once they kill it and "click here" does not stick with them!

The solution for me is Hidden Start from NTWind Software.

You just download the small file from;

http://www.ntwind.com/software/utilities/hstart.html

and read all the technical stuff if you want to.

Extract the file and place in your drive, example => c:\hstart

To make this simple, I copied bitcoin-miner.exe to the same folder, example => c:\hstart

Now create a short cut of hstart.exe
Right click on hstart.exe
Click Create Shortcut
Right click on the short cut and click on Properties
Copy the line below (after adding your details) and past it into the Target

C:\hstart\hstart.exe /NOCONSOLE  "C:\hstart\bitcoin-miner.exe -a 5 -o http://mine.zabitcoin.co.za:8332 -u miner.name -p minerpassword"

Now click Apply
Now drag the Shortcut to the Startup folder - Start => All Programs => Startup

Once it appear, click on it => it seems like nothing happened but it is running, right click on the Taskbar, click on Task Manager, click on Image Name to sort and look for bitcoin-miner.exe to verfiy that it is running.

The technical stuff will tell you how to generate log files if you are interested in that.

From now on, every time the pc start, it will start your miner hidden and can not accidentally be closed.
