i see usually people hide their bitcoin address when they post topics or proofs in forum , social media ..etc
should we hide our bitcoin address , could we get hacked from you bitcoin address and they steal our money  ?
You are right , I also found the same thing and I also hiding my Bitcoin adress which I am using In my daily routine .
Usually people hide thier Bitcoin adress only because they didn't want to show thier earning to the friends or to those people who hate them .
Suppose if you are earning Bitcoin and making big transactions ,and if anyone relative or friend  will see your big transactions then probably he can try to beg money from you or he will try to deceive you .
And the another thing is that , most of the people normally hide thier activity and work annynomiously .

I don't think , So here any need to hide Bitcoin adress , Since every details of the transactions are open in the internet data , and will not results into any personal privacy detail expose , So here doesn't any matter if hide your bitcoin adress .
But sometimes some people want to do every work secretly in the internet earning , so usually they hide thier Bitcoin address , which is not a bad thing also .
But everyone knows that at every transaction we can see sender and receiver of the transaction , So here hiding Bitcoin adress is not any matter at all

Your wallet cannot be tampered with just by showing your public bitcoin address. However, I think a big reason

why people don't like showing their wallet is because from there somebody can see how much bitcoin you own.

This could be why people aren't comfortable sharing their addresses, because they don't want their net earnings

available for everyone to see.
Certainly, I used to hide my bitcoin address to keep off from hackers.

Once a hacker had sought how many btc wagered or how many btc you have balance, you could be their next target.

Just like in my blockchain, I don't know how does a person known my identification code since I am the only one who have known that.

However since my gmail wasn't hacked, he wasn't able to open my wallet. This is alarming because hackers are desperate to steal money from others.

Hence, protect your wallet. Don't use your main wallet your every transaction so that no one could tend an attention to check your btc balance/wagered.

What will a hacker do with your Bitcoin address? I have tons of Bitcoin addresses and none of them are linked to my Bitcoin hoard. The majority < more than 80% of my coins > are stored in cold storage. < Paper wallets etc. >

You should never have all your bitcoins in 1 address. I did the same with my bank accounts with my fiat savings. I have a account at 1 bank, where all my money is deposited and then I have bank accounts at several other banks for saving and other purposes.

If 1 account is hacked at the bank, I will not be without money. If they put limits on withdrawals, like they did in Greece then I will have money in different banks and I can withdraw what I need. ^smile^

Bitcoin address = bank account
Private key = password

You can give your bank account to anyone, and they can do nothing without the password. ^smile^

the bitcoin address is just the public key, there are no dangers of exposing it, noone can try to find your private key using the public key, its only that people can still use Blockchain etc to look up past transactions etc.   Grin

I don't think it is possible to hack your wallet using just your bitcoin address, as long as you keep your wallet private key well, you are good  Smiley

Exposing your wallet address in public does not pose a risk although the problem
here is privacy. It makes it easier for others to trace your identify by linking and
following transaction in the blockchain network.

But if you want some privacy so other can't follow your footprints in the blockchain
you should create multi address, with this it is hard to link addresses to you.
There are a lot of wallets there that gives you an option to create multi address,
just choose what fits your current goals GoodLuck!

It is in everyone's right to try to stay anonymous online in a world where we are being tracked like crazy from a shitload of intelligence agencies. Many people want to hide their bitcoin address but I think it is better to create many wallets and rename them for any purpose you will use them. This way you will somewhat retain your privacy to a certain degree. Electrum is a desktop wallet which lets you create as many wallets as you like. All of them have different seeds so you need to safeguard these really in a precious and safe way.

What you are telling is a good option but the problem will be to maintain all wallet with loaded Bitcoins , if you misplace or forget for some thing bad happens and you lost some seed keys then you wont be able to recover the bitcoins on any condition and you will be in loss. So it is much better to keep the main wallet address anonymous and use only random address to show in any topic.
