I only started mining ~30 hours ago, so pardon my ignorance, but does it make sense to keep the miner running during the current downtime?

When the servers come back online, will things "catch up" or will all the effort during the downtime be in vain?

when a pool is down you wont get anything for the time the pool is down because you computer isnt atually mining anything as its not getting work from the pool

best bet change pools for the time being then change back once your prefferd pools back to normal or let your hardware take a break and shutdown for a while
