Hi,

I created an account to post this bug report, but find I can only post in newbies section. Would an admin please move this post to the appropriate location?

Bug:
Bitcoin client language does not match installer language. Instead it matches default Locale language (and not OS language).

Severity: Annoyance

System and relevant software:
Windows 7, English installation
Bitcoin Client Installer

Steps to reproduce:
Install Windows 7 (English).
Set default Locale to a non-English-language country.
Launch Bitcoin Client Installer.
Bitcoin Client Installer launches in English with no option to select language.
Finish installation.
Launch Bitcoin Client.
Bitcoin Client launches in the language of the default Locale.

Expected Behaviour:
Allow language selection in both Installer and Client. Client should launch matching language selected during Installation. Default should be language of OS, not locale.

Temporary fix:
Rename the directory in C:\Program Files (x86)\Bitcoin\locale\[language] to something else.
Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bitcoin\locale\de  --> C:\Program Files (x86)\Bitcoin\locale\de.disabled
Quit and relaunch Bitcoin Client.

Thanks for your attention!

I am living in Denmark and I don't speak Danish, I hate google and other localizations and now BTC did the same. BTC 0.5 installed itself in danish and I hate it and I don't know how to change language. 0.5 has no locale folder. google do it for the sake of ads, I don't see why anonymous software like BTC catch our localization. is it sabotage of anonymity?
beside it, 5 minutes is process of syncronization (15%) with network. should I wait 30 minutes just for that? BTC 0.4 was better.

debit cards websites are companies registered in London by Lithuanians who demand from you your phone, ID and utility bill, that's enough for them to make offshore companies on your name without your knowledge and they can get a bank account and make financial crimes on your name, or they can simply sell IDs. don't give to anyone too much info.
why they need more than your ID when your local bank demands only ID?
don't use coinbase, they are NSA spying shit, they make database of people that use bitcoins.
