Hi,

guys I want to know what is going on with my PC whenever I play a 1080p video or 4k resolution video the videos lags. I have noted the fps using fraps it give mes 10+ fps not 25 locked fps on video.
And I am only getting 150+ fps on cod4, Although my system is capable of giving me 250fps locked.

Here is my specs, All the drivers are up to date.

Core i7 960
12gb 1600MHz
1tb 7200rpm
p6t6ws revolution Mobo.
MSI gtx 770
I have 6x fans installed in it and the temp is totally normal for all the components.

Temps:

Pro: 35+-
GPU: 28

Try Checking The Task Manger when you play a 1080p a video. it will tell you what percentage of each of the resource is being used by your PC and the resource which is being used more than required is the one causing the problem. If all resources are being used normally than try using a different media player. You can check for your GPU drivers that whether they are perfectly installed or not.

Everything's on normal nothing special.

You could have a rootkit or something like that which is using up CPU resources but not reporting it on task manager. Have you tried a malwarebytes scan?

The other thing that comes to mind are video drivers. Do you keep updating your drivers or do you just stick with whatever works? If you did upgrade recently and the problem came after the upgrade then just install an older version. This applies to any drivers or software that was recently installed before the problem occurred.

If it lags in 1080 p then you should check your system because a Gtx 770 should be enough to handle them smoothly. Gtx 770 is not that capable when playing videos in ultra 4k resolution.

Yeah I know, But at least 1080p videos should run without lags. However I have ordered a 980ti lets see when it arrives.
Also Is there any possibility that my hard drive media get slow? Is it because of it?
However there is not bad sector in hard disk and the health is 100%.
