Hi everyone,
I live in Canada and whenever I refresh the Bitstamp website too often (even if I do it only every 5 seconds) it tells me the "website is currently unavailable". I think they shut out people who they figure put too much load on their server.
I was wondering if anyone uses mtgox.com for trading and if it's faster than Bitcoin, and what your experience has been with mtgox.com.
Thanks guys,
Bart_Man
Mt.Gox has a more liquid market due to it's size so you can often get better prices than Bitstamp depending on luck. I use Mt.Gox, Bitstamp and BTC-e and they all work though I must caution you - Mt.Gox has a massive backlog so expect delays on everything. They are legitimate but it took the poor bastards about 2 weeks to establish my account, get it verified and then funded. Then as the big fish in the pond, they are under constant DDoS attacks (even more so than Bitstamp i think) so don't be surprised if any BTC service is sometimes unreachable. The exchanges are all waging wars against the bad guys pretty much 24/7 so be patient.
