Ooof! That's gotta hurt! I sold a third of my Monero stash last bullrun which did me well. Only crypto I've ever sold but it got to the stage that that amount could change my life (not retire; but get rid of debt) and honestly was the best thing I ever did. Came at a time when me and my business partner split in a particularly messy circumstance so it provided some financial security I hadn't had in a long time.

Whatever happens over the next few days/weeks, hope everyone out there keeps their heads and doesn't get too caught up in it all. It's money at the end of the day; if the amount has become too big for you to lose perhaps it's time to sell some off

Best of luck!

Glad to hear you did well on it, I've been reacquiring since then and even bought at .03 Doh. Smiley

But bottom line is BTC has been a Godsend for all of us here! Cheesy

Searing: Get your God Damn hat on.

As to the rest I CAN FEEL THE POWER IN MY LOINS!

Ahem.

Damn hard to put the hat on. It may be soon, however, the campaign pays 0.00035 BTC per post. Me thinks that may not last. But till then I'm whoring

and leaving the hat at home.

As to the past, from the day I started mining (see below)

The day I turned on my KNC Jupiter BTC Miner as a Newbie!

Oct 18th 2013 BTC   $150.00
Oct 18th 2014 BTC   $381.09
Oct 18th 2015 BTC   $265.33
Oct 18th 2016 BTC   $638.15
Oct 18th 2017 BTC $5,605.89
Oct 18th 2018 BTC $6,538.90
Oct 19th 2019 BTC $?

Current Price: June 21st, 2019 is $10,728.37 BTC as of 10:20 pm CDT USA.

So hell, from the day I turned on my miner to this. Not too shabby, despite all the drama of the last 6 years almost.

You have to like the trendline, don't ya know Smiley

just came across an old receipt.. sold 3 btc for 25 bucks back in 2012.

dont even remember what i used the 25 bucks for. i hope it was nice.

That's about the time I got my titanium yoyo for 4 btc. I still have it. It's a daily reminder to HODL.

This is the perfect time to hear everyone's regrettable sells. Smiley

Oct 19th 2019 BTC $?

What's the best guess for this period based on trend line?

Not good with reading trends, but want to see a higher price compare to the price now.

Ok. I sold a bunch of BTC in early 2013 for like $35

But you buy again at?

Anybody have a slight feeling we’re pumping too much, too fast? I think we’ll touch $10,000 but it wouldn’t surprise me if we corrected to $7,500 ish.

Yes but I think more like around 8700. It has to be go down. Then a few weeks later we go easy through 10k. Just like 9k took some time. Pure speculation. I am hodling. So this is no advice to sell. It could also go to 15k and never come back.

The "it has to pull back" line of thinking is why so many people missed out on cheap coins this year. Tone Vays and his followers are still waiting for $1,000.

Yeah, I may 'crack' again when it hits the ATH. I was pretty good at watching and HODL'ing 'mostly' all the way down to 3.2k BTC (Ack!)

But it took a 'lot out of my mental state' to say the least!

I could crack like a walnut at the ATH, if it happens again or beyond, just due to the 'trauma' and the 'possibility' of another major dump at that point.

I may dump 10% just to keep my sanity.

I May not be the HODL'er I once was but may be as good once, in selling some, as I ever was! (I'm such a wit!)

Just saying, I'd have to 'simply' deal with the cash in hand as a compensation (insurance) to avoid such trauma again. (yes, I am that wimpy!)

HODL'ing 'scar tissue' is a consideration.

Don't worry about it. I bought a few pizzas for bitcoin way back when, some towels from overstock, two phones for a btc, and of course a couple ounces of absolutely worthless gold. And the Porsche, but that one's ok.

A sudden jump to $11k might be on its way right now. (...says filb filb)

The price might not hit $11k with this pump (yet) but there is an upwards leg happened indeed.

In the dumbshit column: I bought a monthly subscription to some worthless shite for the sum of .025 btc at $313.30 in Nov. 2013. Was in regrets when it went to $1000 on MtGox later in the month. So, .025 x 12 = 0.30 btc or $93.99. Now, however = ~$3,174.00

Sheesh!

We are now getting deep into the bull according to both filbfilb charts:

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BLX/W5wwj74c-Bitcoin-Long-Term-Trend-Analysis-A-near-term-clue-BLX-Update/
https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BLX/LGfs4PUa-Bitcoin-A-Long-Tern-Market-Analysis/

Looks like "A" is happening.

The top will be somewhere in between $50k and 80100k. $50k is for safe exits, $80k is for risk takers. $100k for mad men.  Cool (can go as high as $100k with hype)

I bought a BlackArrow X1 miner for some silly amount of BTC. At least I got it (eventually) but man what a waste. Lost 2 BTC on Gox as well but hey, those early lessons served me well.

I agree. He's become my favorite analyst over the last year of so. Well, maybe tied with PlanB.  And of course he called the $20K top way before it happened, and called a ~$3K bottom well in advance too.

Hopefully filbfilb updates his logarithmic regression chart soon.

As for upside on digital shitcoins, as I've said a million times already, you cannot rig the price of Bitcoin to like $60k while cost of production is $3-6k.  People would never buy the $60k coins when they can just mine it for 1/10th the price.

so.. the average person, who can barely run a computer, will buy asic(s), join a pool and setup a wallet (as many exchanges dont like miners paying direct to them, but maybe thats changed), and send the pool payouts to maybe an online wallet, maybe a hardware wallet, whatever. then send to an exchange.

and take the time to figure all that out from scratch (and probably make mistakes or get burned in the process) just to acquire some btc. when they can just join an exchange and buy it right now (yes at a premium vs a miners cost), no fuss no bother. quick and easy.

so yes many people will pay more, possibly a lot more, than the mining cost to acquire btc. after all they will still profit if the price goes up. miners will make more (at the time and expense of acquiring, setting up and maintaining asics and pools) but profit is profit.

Do you raise cattle and slaughter them for your family subsistence or do you just buy meat at the supermarket paying the chain costs and a premium?
