So I put one on the hot side just in case, guess i need to put one on the other side, so much for being lazy.
Now that i'm thinking of it, the dishwasher only uses the hot side so the silt must have been in there since I put the filter in.
I think I did that about a week after they did the lines.
do you flush your hot water tank from the bottom valve every year or so?
most hot water tanks get crud that settles to the bottom. eventually it gets to the point heavy build up and heavy water demand loads can stir the silt and other crud up and now it in your lines and fixtures.
