Does purchasing ICO very rewarding? Yes I know there are lots of ICO scams, but lets talk about the genuine ones.
For example if bought 100usd worth of ICO, will the value of ICO I bough remains 100usd or higher?
What if the altcoin ICO doesnt meet the target purchase amount they are expecting for. Will I get the same amount of ICO worth the money I invested?
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

It depends on market actually whether you will get more return on your investment or not.Suppose ypu invested 1 btc in ico and get 1000 tokens for it.
Now your profit is dependent on market price of each token. Some Coins like ICN is still trading 3x above their ICO price.

If ICO funds are escrowed, the escrow can refund the investors money if it doesn't reach the minimum amount.

well, if we assume there is a genuine one out there an you can find it to invest and think it can be profitable then yeah.
and about the price, it is an investment afterall. which means when you invest you are accepting both profit and loss. there is no guarantee for profit.
and this means if the price of that altcoin goes down you lose money the same way if price goes up you make money.

Ive taken part in quite a lot of ico s in my time here and from my experience (maybe im bad or just unlucky) you would be better just keeping your money in btc. Had i kept the BTC instead of the various icos i invested in then at the end of the day i would have more btc. Ive probably not really lost much since the relative price of bitcoin vs usd has increased but had i not bought into ico i would obviously have more.

Some get lucky and pick the right ico but they are few and far between.

why would you even want to invest in an ICO with the current situation of the altcoins that are created these days?
i mean i see investing in altcoins like a gamble, it is no longer an investment.
how many of the ICOs in the past have been successful? and for how much profit and how long then lasted?
if you do a little research on these simple facts you realize it is not such a good idea to take such a huge risk.

In most cases, few weeks after coin from ICO is added to the exchange price falls under ICO value and latter slowly goes up back to it, so in most cases that is best time to buy. But some ICOs specially ICOs for games that i participated at they give you some game asset for your ICO participation. And it is usually quite valuable since is rare.

For example with Safe Exchange Coin the price went from ICO price of 5 Satoshi to 400 Satoshi and now it is stabilized at 30 Satoshi  so people grew impatient. Now it is beginning to rise because the main developer has been making the plans and code for launch.

Now that there are clear plans and the main developer is in full gear making an Anonymous Marketplace the Safe Exchange Coin Holders will receive dividends.

So buying bad ICO means you will lose money, if its an ok ico then you will save money, if it's a good and useful ICO you will Make more Money.

In the case of Safe Exchange Coin people make money, and it is continuing to grow because it makes useful products.

The future for trade is private secure and decentralized https://safex.io

ico selling sometime can get much profit, another coin scam, and not wroth, if youre buy ico selling if incraese high price must fast selling because can down again
pesobit ico price 300 satoshi, only one month after ico end incraese price very high until 10k satoshi , or 33x for ico price, take profit 3000% only one month
pesobit price this now down again to 350 satoshi

Unfortunately that is not always not the case, there's a coin where people invested 1000 sats per coin but it's now trading 30 to 50 sats in the market and there are a lot of coins similar, demand and supply always play a big factor,a coin with good projects ahead and features usually makes profit to it's ico investors,it's much better to buy on exchanges than ico.

They're all fucking scams.  None of these coins should even exist, and all the demand for them is by suckers like OP who want to get rich.  ALL of them are headed for the graveyard after months at most.  Yobit 1 satoshi wonders, all of them.  Once they're shat out upon the market, the devs get their money and demand hits the toilet.

100 dollar is not a big amount but you should be comfortable on what ever the outcome is,the risk is very high when you invest in Ico,I don't know why and how they calculate the price, but based on what I'm seeing it's very rare for an ico coin to hit higher than their ico price,so just buy when it hit the market,so you can see the whole picture.

quite rewarding if everything working smoothly, buying ICO is like pre-order thing, usually when they launch the price will up and the go down to stabilize position, but buying ICO is not really recommended because it got a high risk, and some of the alt coin developer are scammers, so buying ICO is like gambling

If anyone knows what will be the output of an ICO then we can win at all ICO we are joining, but that's not the real happening in an ICO world.

Basically, if all ICO are success and established a good price once they are listed in an exchange, yes it's worth your money and can even passed the amount you have invested. Just expect now that the ICO you have chosen must gather strong support for the community so that it can meet your criteria.

If we are talking about the genuine ICO, I could say that most of them (not all) provides good profit in the long run. Well, all of the ICO  that I saw always placed their best foot forward to attract many investors. When the dev team of a certain ICO provide good progress and stick to their timelines, their price will increase. However, it could also go the other way and the price of it would tank. Basically, it all depends on the capability of the devs whether their coin/project will be success.

Buying in on an ICO is a form of investment which carries risks of making a loss on it or making a profit, but if more research is done on a coin, we might invest in a profitable ICO. And value never stays the same its either positive or negative gain!

One thing which i have seen in multiple ico is that

Usually ico project which comes with bounty hunters, especially those camp which contains tons of bhunter like 500 600 participants, you can expect a drop in proce after ico for the first week or weeks, the reason why is because everyone wanted to get btc instead of holding a coin which doesn't transact for cash value easily.

Look at chronobank, their sig participants, social media have tons of peope in it, lets look at the price

But the price of it might be stable or better than ico because for their sig, a maximum of 0.3% of collected amount is distributed. Therefore, 99.7% of tokens is still safe from dumping Wink

This is the reality of most of the ICO coin and some other altcoins. Sad, but true and I join several ICO and some never get into exchanges. So far, the worthy and excellent ICO I joined and rewarding was ICN coin or ICOMI. It even appreciates several months after it reaches on exchanges.

Usually all ICO gives away less than 1% in bounty.Signature participants alone cannot bring down the price of a coin in exchange.Take for example ICN, why its price didn't dropped,KMD may be another example.
On the other hand Antshares distributed peanuts in bounty but their price is still below ICO.
