Hi all,

What: I am putting one Avalon Batch 1 unit back on market.  It's not a pre-order.  The unit is in my possession and working.

When: I will consider all offers for 3 days (72 hours) from now.  If you have an offer I couldn't refuse, I will make the unit available for pickup immediately.

Closing: The one with the highest offer is expected to close the deal within 6 days from now.

Where: Eastside of Seattle, WA area (Bellevue/Redmond, if you are familiar with the area). After auction ends, we will find a safe place to meet to ensure a working unit and exchange.

Starting offer: Since there is another forum member offering $30K, I think that's a good starting point.  Please keep all the offers in USD.

Payment: Cash only please.  If you don't want to carry cash with you, we could meet at your bank.

Conditions: Just like last time, local pickup only please.  I will not ship the unit and no exceptions!  The unit is located in the Seattle, WA area (see above).  I would rather not deal with someone's flight schedule, but if you are willing to drive/fly in, that's fine.  I will try my best to accommodate your schedule but please don't expect me to go out of my way.

If you have any question, feel free to PM me or post in this thread.

As a comparison point, preorder batch 2 unit was sold for $42k+ (http://www.ebay.com/itm/AVALON-ASIC-Bitcoin-BTC-Miner-Preorder-batch-2-60-GHash-s-/261198209710?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cd0a062ae) from this thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=172243.0) although it's not clear whether it went through or not.

Considering that people are bidding BTC60+ for 10GH/s device (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178275.msg1865915#msg1865915) with 2 days left to go, I would say this is a bargain! Smiley

What about if I don't pay the rest, but bump the gratuity to 5%?

and why are you selling it?

Fair question and several people had asked me via PM as well.

I am looking to diversify and shield myself a bit from bitcoin volatility.  I originally had three Avalons, already sold one, and currently have two, so I will have some reduced exposure even after the sale.

I can do 35k ish, but would want to have it picked up ASAP, ie. within a few days - I would be coming from Victoria.  Would just want to see it running in person, then a quick turnaround ideally.

FYI, this is the best offer I have so far.

I've bid on a couple of these ebay listings before.

I'll tell you this: I've gotten a ton of second chance offers due to the winning bidders not following through...and I'm not bidding anywhere close to the highest bids!

I suspect some shill bidding might be going on and that's why I said "although it's not clear whether it went through or not".
Thanks for sharing, Mark.

There is a user on the BFL Forums by the name of Ivan Frimmel who bids up all the Avalon units on sale through eBay to ridiculous levels, then takes pictures of winning and does not pay for them.
