need help with mmcfe [litecoin]

hello everyone. i joined this forum a very long time ago, but it appears i have not been logged in enough to post outside of this noob area... so ill just post here and see if i get help, if not ill lurk a bit and repost.

ok, so heres the thing... me and another guy set up a litecoin pool. hes doing the sql, im doing all the php / linux stuff.
the setup is fairly cookie cutter, litecoind for the client, pushpool for the proxy, and mmcfe for the front end (Greedi's fork).

we have about 8mhash/s on the pool, and we discovered a block.... however after running poolupdate.sh, the website still shows the shares still as unpaid, the round shares have not cleared, and no ones account balance updated.

any ideas what the problem could be?
