IMO the real price right now is 60-80 if it goes over its probably going to fall again.  Too much speculation driving wild fluctuations.  This is why I will mine but not buy anything right now.

If you don't mind not making the last dollar, $80 is still cheap.

Yes I did say "current" price there is a linear increase hidden under the fluctuations. Especially since most fiat/central banking is dying.

bitcoin to rise or fall?

Your question reminds me of the famous quote by J. P. Morgan.  When asked what the stock market will do, rise or fall, he simply replied, "It will fluctuate."  And so will Bitcoin!

bitcoin to rise or fall?

I bet for a rise, but very slowly, as new and new merchants start accepting it.

doesn´t matter if rise or fall, the important thing is that people start to use it more and more.

It's important if you want to make sure your coins don't lose value.

In the long run it will rise. But I guess in the moment theres too much volatility to make assumptions.

It will need its time to get up again.

Don't forget that this hard crash leaves some wounds to heal.

I think, it will fluctuate violently in the near future as market is driven by speculators at the moment. In longer term it may rise as it gets accepted by more retailers until another currencies kick in, especially Ripple seems to be promising and having decent media coverage. Who knows, what other currencies may appear within a year or two and how popular they may become? It they surprass bitcoin, the demand will fall, so will the price.

Personally, I wouldn't trust Bitcoin that much to convert all my fiat currecy into BTC. The current price is too dependant on mood of the investors and hopes of enthusiasts who seem absolutely convinced that BTC must rise.

I think it will keep going up and down short term and then make a major move upwards to like $500+
What do you base it on? IMHO such beliefs is what drives price up, nothing else.
