I was just curious but, what would you guys think if Bitcoin was the main currency of America. Would you like it and agree with it or would you agree with the current main currencie(s) we have.
I think that won't happen for now, I know not all their citizens are well educate about in bitcoin. Unless if the President of the US will make a new law of declaration about this matter. If ever that happen it will become an advantage for us too as bitcoin users in the whole, it means the price value of bitcoin will increase for sure.

Bitcoin might be popular, yes, but the about bitcoin and its characteristics are not still suitable for a currency of a country. Though it will be really great if bitcoin is a currency of one country, bitcoin can be quickly transacted which is really great. Still there are holes in this cryptocurrency, its flaws must be found and make a debate about it after.
I agree with this.Tho bitcoins are at its finest popularity now it will never ever have the potential to be a main currency in any country now even tho that country hails bitcoins much.Being a main currenct consider so much things, characteristics to be lined as one of it.It needs to pass so many laws in countrys regulations due to being a main currency. So i thimk bitcoin being a main currency isnot possible yet

No. It will create many problems for government so I don't think government will allow bitcoin as main currency.

Why would any government accept bitcoin as their main currency when you don't have the control over it and if you look throughout history fiat is controlled by a central authority and we need bitcoin as the top digital currency for the whole world and anyone can invest in it and transfer all over without much fees and that is the catch of bitcoin.

being a decentralized and uncontrolled and ruleless currency government will never accept bitcoin as main currency but well government could modify or make a new currency of such type to enable wld wide transaction worry free and with just click of few buttons.

Many people expect bitcoin will be approved by government regulation, because if it had been drawn up by the country's financial laws. All public facilities will accept bitcoin. Do you think otherwise? If so, congratulations. You as bitcoin user will continue as if a subway worker who was never appreciated by world governments, particularly in America.

the fact is true with that, uncontrolled money totally will make the government disagree with the approval of the usage of bitcion to their country yet the advantages to the users totally helps if it uses for transactions, and I guess it will be hard to be publicize and I think the best is just to make it an option as payment or transaction to be use to.

No, it's not what it's meant to be. It's better of as an alternative to whatever currency is used in the country. Even just the thought of the majority of people using it makes me somehow queasy. Sure it would be nice to be able to use it anywhere but the government wouldn't be happy with a currency it can't regulate. Seeing it starting to replace fiat could cause them to crack down on it. Or they'd jump the bandwagon and try to digitize their fiat.

I think wizmo idea is reasonable, because everyone who use bitcoin know that its very hard to track bitcoin or control it. Even the government, they don't have enough resources or don't have any solution to do it. And one of the main mission of the government is manage the currency of that country as much as they can because money affect to the strength of a nation directly. I think bitcoin should not be the main currency of any country, its just grow by its own way, which is used by as much user as possible and become the strongest digital coin that have more benefits (fast transaction, anonimously,...) than now

I agree that Bitcoin is better to be an alternative currency for the reason that Bitcoin is hard to regulate and control. Second, if it is used as main currency, the nation economy who use it will be in the hand of those few whales that have a huge amount of Bitcoin in stash. It is also safe from centralization of government that oppose the decentralization nature of Bitcoin.

It is clear that bitcoin is only the online currency and good for investment but making as main currency then i think still their is lot of time to declare it as fiat currency influence is too high.
Bitcoin beats its competitors because of the community size it has. If it was smaller than another crypto's community, it is not unlikely that other crypto would take the position of the "best" or "only" crypto to do online business with or whatever. Fiat will always have influence as long as it is impossible to buy everything with bitcoin. Yeah, I too think that the bitcoin cannot be a main currency right now because people are used to use fiat and other digital money and trying to make people use bitcoin as a part of their everyday lives is a hard but slowly happening, so the best thing for bitcoin is it being used as a main currency on the internet but yet not in the real world, in the real world we should stick to fiat because it is much simpler at least as of now. In future things will get reciprocal.

I disagree because I believe bitcoin will not be the main currency in any country including the United States because bitcoin is not to be used as main currency. Although it is recognized to be the currency in any country, but it is only as an alternative from main currency. If that happens maybe bitcoin has not become anonymous and will be a big tax because there will be a rule from government, bitcoin will be change in total.
Seven years ago, nobody predicted that Bitcoin would be worth so much. But today the price of 1 BTC is more than $ 1000. After 10 years, bitcoin can be a currency accepted in the world.

Bitcoin can be regulated by the government and they have that technology and tools to do that. What is lacking in bitcoin to be a main currency is not it being decentralized but the total amount of bitcoins in circulation. As we all know that the number of money in a certain country is much higher than the number of bitcoins and if we talk of the whole world using bitcoins then there is a huge gap between the number of bitcoins in circulation and the number of paper money in circulation. There is a need to increase the number of bitcoins so it can match up to the total number of money in the world.

It will be hard to share currency with other countries and the government doean't have any control over the currency, it will be easy for other country to destroy your country by buying all the coin and the economics of america will fall down due to the inflation because the bitcoin supply is not enough, it is a terrible idea to used bitcoin as main currency

I don't see Bitcoin as a main currency. The government will take over with the control of Bitcoin. It might need more arguments and debate in order to make it as a currency of a specific country. It may be popular, but it should be how it is and how it was.

Being a main currency for bitcoin is a very hard challenge because there is a lot of things to consider and there is also a lot of enemies to defeat and one of those is the government who are against bitcoin because they can't control it and they can dictate the market by their own. If bitcoin will defeat government and if government will start using it then bitcoin can be a main currency.

How do you imagine that bitcoin can beat the government? The government has all the levers of management of the banking system of the country and close cooperation with the governments of other countries.

Yes, no government wants to use the system it can not control. Bitcoin brings many innovations in the sense of technology. The governments accept it. But governments are a bit distant because of the decentralized nature of bitcoin. To me, Governments can do something using blockchain technology. They can produce a crypto currency they can check.
