ICYMI, from the Bancor blog:
Rethinking the Order Book: The March Towards Automated MarketsHere's an excerpt from the article: "Blockchain and smart contract technologies enable new models that demand a rethinking of existing market mechanics — specifically the order book, which plays a key role in today’s digital asset exchange infrastructure. Modern-day order books are based on order-matching (between buyers and sellers) and mutable offers not visible to all traders. This paradigm makes order books dependent on for-profit matchmakers and susceptible to manipulation. The Bancor Protocol proposes automated order books, which allow underlying assets or tokens to be programmatically exchangeable without the need for both a buyer and seller, based on predetermined order-flows and transparent immutable orders. Automated order books dramatically lower the cost of creating liquidity and level the playing field for market participants by reducing both the risk of manipulation and the profitability of market-making." If you have any questions about Bancor, do make sure to check out the Official Telegram Group, and if you run into technical issues while using the web app, the team has a dedicated support page to help you out!

Hey, is there any extra advantages of holding the BNT tokens right now? I mean like dividends or something?
Thanks

Hi there. Holding BNT token does not give dividends. There are relay tokens, which earn fees for the owner whenever the relay is used to make conversions on the network, however, we are waiting for more documentation to provide for the community.

BNT token use cases are still unclear. Looks like its not even exist. They why I am starting to think about "out".

We cannot speculate on the future price on BNT, but there is a Bancor Traders channel on Telegram where you can discuss with other users. As for benefits of holding, there are no dividends or anything like that, nor discounts for holding BNT. Holding means that you can skip a step in the conversion process on the network if you wish, so for example instead of converting BAX into ETH (BAX>BNT>ETH), you could directly convert BNT into ETH (BNT>ETH).

I discovered a couple of days about the fact that Bancor already provides Atomic Swap between ETH and EOS, tried it and it works pretty amazing. But I have a pretty big concern: I have red that it was hacked around 4 months ago and the Bancor team said they were able to freeze the BNT tokens; which begs the question: so, if they can freeze BNT tokens, that means that all this Atomic Swap provided by Bancor is not truly decentralized, correct??

It wasn't a hack and no user data or tokens were affected. A wallet used to stake tokens to a token relay was compromised, and they stole it from there. The BNT freezing was a security mechanism. You can read more here: https://blog.bancor.network/bancor-progress-update-july-2018-4cfee421de1e

Thanks for the reply but how many percents does the company make with each successful conversion any idea? Relay owners get between 0.1% - 0.3% of the fees from a conversion. If you're asking about the Bancor foundation, they don't get any of the fees.
