I see alot of peeps talking about 50miner is that a safe app or is it something to watch out for. Also does it use alot of cpu speed.

Dont touch it, The creator of it is refusing to release the source files for it, And therefore could be hiding Malicious content inside of it.
There is Zero Benefit to using "50miner"
Just use CGMiner
