Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Try Virvox if you want to buy Bitcoin using Paypal. Not that you are a Newbie and you can't be trusted, it's the reversible thing of Paypal that turns off people to exchange BTC with Paypal funds. It's very unlikely that someone here will trust you and exchange BTC for you Paypal funds. If you use Virvox, prepare for huge fees.

Thank you for the advice, I am familiar with PayPal. I am willing to pay via PayPal gift, to a trusted member of course. I completely understand the safety issue that others might feel dealing with a new member. Will only purchase partial bitcoin when paying via paypal gift

Dude, you can withdraw your money from paypal then to your bank account it only take 24 hours for payment arrive then withdraw it and buy bitcoins with cash(of course) everybody will accept cash(WU&Moneygram).
